Can we break the code?

She walked into the room with dark bags under her eyes and a short haircut that was a bit uneven on the sides, so I’m guessing she did the cutting herself. Her sweats had stains, and she wore a tie-dyed shirt two sizes too big. She looked like life had chewed her up and spit her out.  And as I looked around the auditorium, I noticed more and more of my friends moms with the same “I’ve given up on life” look.

The 80’s and 90s were a wild time!

An animated witch with a mischievous grin and exaggerated features, wearing a black cloak and peering out from behind a window.

Women, as well as men, were ill-informed about how to take care of themselves. Sodas, fast food, and Little Debbie cakes were in full swing. The only gym around was the YMCA, with limited equipment and very few staff to assist new members who had no idea how to use it.

Times have definitely changed!

Today, we understand that fast food is best avoided for our health. Soda, like Pepsi or any other soft drink, can negatively affect your teeth, overall health, and even your skin. I’ve yet to meet anyone with radiant skin who lives on soda or fast food.

Growing older is something to strive for!

With that in mind, we face two choices: commit to making the necessary changes for a healthier life, or ignore the clear facts about healthy versus unhealthy living. There’s really no excuse to live as if we’re still in the 80s or 90s. Today, there’s always someone to reach out to for valuable information, a video, or an article that can teach us something new.

No one has all the answers when it comes to what works best for your body, but discovering new workouts and skincare routines can be a fun and rewarding journey. Once you find what works for you, you can share your discoveries with others. Before you know it, you’ll have created a supportive little community where everyone is sharing and learning from one another.

I don’t know everything about fitness or skincare, but I will share what I do know so we can all be as healthy as possible. I’m here to help and encourage everyone on their healthy journey.

Together we can and will break the code and look fabulous forever!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
