SPRING training adjustments

YOU ARE AN ATHLETE SO LISTEN UP!!!!

Before we dive into the warm weather training, it’s important to ensure you’re mentally prepared to face the heat. Mental readiness is a key factor in your training success.

The weather is changing, and I don’t know about you, but I am here for it and beyond ready. It feels like winter has lasted for six years straight, and now the warmth has decided to show its beautiful face.

But with warm weather comes great responsibility!

How to get the best fitness results IN THE SPRING

Outdoor training is not just about the heat; it’s about the numerous benefits it brings to your cardiovascular system, skin, and mood. The warmth of the sun, when embraced with sunscreen and hydration, can be a powerful ally in your fitness journey, leading you to a place of internal peace and well-being.

Adapting your training plans to the changing seasons is a crucial step for athletes aiming for peak performance. It’s a way to stay ahead of the game and make the most of the conditions.

So this is what you need to do.

  1. Get your butt up and get outside to bask in the joy of the sunshine. Plan your workouts during times when the sun is shining bright, and revel in the boost in energy and vitamin D. It’s like a natural mood lifter that will leave you feeling invigorated and ready to conquer your fitness goals! Have fun with the sun and set goals that will make you sweat, breathe hard, and feel young again.
  2. Please turn off the TV, enjoy the sunset, and go for a romantic walk with a glass of wine in one hand and your partner’s hand in the other or your dog’s leash (Larry and I also enjoy taking a stroll together).

Embrace the beauty of spring as you chase your fitness goals, and remember to enjoy the journey!

Stay active, stay positive!
