What’s The Definition of Insanity?

The definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

So, let’s be done with doing insane things!

It’s not that easy, though, right?

Well, maybe it could be if we wanted it to be. I mean, think about it. When we taste something that doesn’t agree with our pallet, we are quick to toss it to the side and never think about eating it again. A perfect example is oatmeal; I’ve had so many clients who were at least 50 pounds overweight and were told to be on a low-cholesterol diet. And OATMEAL was at the top of the list to eat for breakfast.

However, the first thing I heard was, “I hate the texture and can’t bring myself to eat it.” It’s a real struggle, I know. It’s not easy to change our eating habits, especially when it comes to foods we don’t enjoy.

Yet, they continue to consume things that please their palate but harm their health, and just like that, their taste buds triumph!

The texture of the oatmeal was enough to deter them from doing something that would be considered insane, so they gave oatmeal a resounding thumbs down and walked away.

But what if we could change our perception of it?

Imagine adopting a lifestyle that could transform your life into the one you’ve always dreamed of. Picture yourself looking and feeling like a healthy King or Queen (as you rightfully should). And that definitely can be within your grasp.

All we have to do is say Yes to the things that we can sustain for the rest of our lives and STOP practicing INSANE behaviors.

Remember, being healthy is a choice we make every day, and it’s crucial to ask yourself, am I living out the definition of Insanity?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Oh, I totally hate oatmeal too, but when I was doing paleo, I discovered baked blueberry oatmeal made with pin oats. GAME CHANGER!! More like eating a healthy dessert!
Surely people can make better choices when they want to. Boiled eggs are better for you anyway, try eggs with avocado! Yum when baked in the oven.
I also like cottage cheese and fruit or low sugar cereals as well.i wont buy keto cereals anymore because they’ve shot up to $7-$8 bucks a small box!!

    1. That is so expensive, I feel like all cereal boxes have gotten smaller and are double the price 😖
Kim those are great suggestions and I eat them all! My daughter bakes her oatmeal in a little casserole dish and wowwwww I LOVE IT 😍

  2. We have to at least be open to change, right? Giving up dairy a few years ago eliminated ongoing allergy issues. I thought it would be hard to do but the life-changing results made it worthwhile. 🙌🏻

    1. Wow that’s good Michele! Yes it does seem like it would be hard but as soon as we get into or new normal it’s a breeze. Unfortunately once we say we can’t do something, we don’t.

  3. I really liked what you said about saying yes to the things that we can sustain for the rest of our lives. I myself love oatmeal’s affordability and the fact that it satiates. Plus it’s good and warm in the morning. For some reason I always wake up feeling cold.

      1. Oh wow, okay! Do yo live in a warm climate? I sweat so easily and you would think that I would rather live in a climate that stays at a cooler temp.
