Saturday Fit Tip ~3/23~

It’s always hard to take the first step in the dark, but eventually, your eyes get adjusted to the darkness, and the next steps become a little easier.

Just like weight loss, boys and girls!

The first day of your new beginnings is going to be as difficult as you make it. No one expects you to take off running in the dark; you have to take baby steps until your new way of life becomes easier for you to manage.

For example, if you’re used to eating all day and then suddenly go from that to one salad, water, and a few pieces of fruit, you’ll quickly find yourself eating everything in sight. Then, you’ll complain because no diet seems to work.

Bullet PROOF PLAN

We are human, so we will make mistakes and may need to start over a few times. NO BIG DEAL!

All you have to do is write down your plan, make sure it makes sense, and ensure that it’s doable. The one mistake you want to avoid is going after your new weight loss journey so aggressively that you can’t keep up with your plans. Not being able to keep up with your plans will cause frustration.

So what should you do?

  1. Adjust the times that you eat and put yourself on a schedule
  2. Get out and enjoy the fresh air
  3. Choose a workout crew for accountability
  4. Start rewarding yourself with things other than food
  5. Choose one day each week to take pictures of your progress
  6. The same day you take pics, you should do a weigh-in
  7. Speak nice to yourself

Whatever workout you choose to do today, do it with the best intentions and have fun. You were blessed to wake up this morning, so if you have to start over, DO IT.

Baby steps!

  1. I eat a lot, not really structured. but, years ago I put myself on a real food diet..yes I cheat sometimes, but no junk, and really no dairy which is sometimes a challenge, I just know my body doesn;t do well with dairy…so no processed cheese, no ice cream yogurt, just lots of fruit..lots of bananas..two running friends have told me they eat 6 bananas a day to, on the 6 banana and 1 gallon of water a day…as a big part of my diet…
