Saturday Fit Tip ~2/14~

Excuses carry extra pounds, stress, mental health issues, and depression, and that’s just to name a few!

Keep reading to learn how to drop excuses and bad habits.

How many times have you hopped up out of bed and said, “I’m in the mood to kill it in the gym”? And then do so.

~OR~

How many times have you said, “I’m just not in the mood today; tomorrow, I’ll sweat it out?” But choose to do something anyway.

If you’re like me and the majority of the people I know, then you can relate to the second option. When I had a gym membership, I would go liked clockwork and when I arrived, I would see person after person who looked like this was the last place on earth they wanted to be.

But there they were, and there I was, burying every excuse and giving our desired workout a go. Neither they nor I would give every workout 100%. However, we moved our bodies on a daily basis.

Discovering what movement can do for you will make you want to get up and shake it out! You will shake what yo momma gave you, lose a little of what you don’t want, and improve upon the things you LOVE!

MOVEMENT is so different for everyone, and it depends on how you feel that day. In fact, I challenge you today to get up and go for a walk. If you’re feeling really jiggy with it, then throw in a few lunges, squats, and pushups, and end your workout with a few minutes of meditation.

It takes 30 minutes of movement before those endorphins kick in. Once it does, you will be better mentally and physically.

And damn it, folks will love to be around your healthy sexy ass!

Say something nice to yourself, and fall in love with who you are today, not who you want to be tomorrow. Today is your moment, so let’s make the most of it.

Happy Saturday, my beautiful athletes!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Haha, I’m no athlete, but I have been trying to “move my ass” on a daily basis by either walking, swimming, or a combination of the two! It has definitely improved my back pain (along with my meds) and someday, maybe I’ll even start to see a few pounds being shed. 😊
