Saturday Fit Tip

Today is a good day to have a good day!

We all have the privilege of being here another day, so we have to show up today and give thanks for that. You know, it’s funny when we think about life; we become so used to things going well that we begin to take it for granted. Then we forget that we are here for a short time, and we forget to make the best out if each moment.

The first thing that we either forget about or take for granted is our health. Sadly, at the start of a workout, we tend to go into it with an I HAVE to exercise. And that’s not it at all; we GET to take care of ourselves by choosing thousands of ways to do so.

You know, I get it; staying on the right track can be difficult. So here are a few ways to ensure that you stay disciplined on your fitness journey.

Ways to stay Focused

  • Get an accountability partner~ There is something magical about having a friend who can sweat and complain with you as y’all struggle through each exercise. Being able to poke off and uplift each other is a priceless experience, and it’s FREE. No trainer needed!
  • Stay on schedule~ If you have a work schedule that requires you to wake up early and come home later in the afternoon or evening, then you may need to workout before work. However, if you work from home, a schedule should still be in play. Thinking that you have all day to squeeze in a workout is a HUGE MISTAKE. The day goes by quickly and your time management may not be where it needs to be.

I’ve found that both ways are rewarding, and I currently still stick to a schedule. I know the time of day that I’m at my strongest mentally and physically. And if I miss that time frame, I struggle to complete my workout with good energy.

However, if you combine the two of these techniques, then you will increase your success rate and will be fit and healthy before you know it.

Please let me know if this was helpful and if you’ve tried one or both techniques.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Yes, staying on a schedule works best. I’ve been walking thirty minutes a day at least for a week now, and I’d like to work up to an hour eventually but break it up, afternoon and evening most likely.
