Look After Yourself Friday

Today is the beginning of many good days if you allow it to be!

Have you ever taken a look at your past and wondered how the hell you made it out of the dark place? You may be in that dark place and searching for your way out. If you are looking, don’t stop; feel your life with positive love and structure.

No, you aren’t in your current situation, and tomorrow will be better.

Sometimes, we have to let go of anything that reminds us of anything that makes us uncomfortable. Even if you have to walk away from someone close to you, if leaving them behind makes you feel like you can fly, drop them quickly.

Throughout your life, you will come across people who want you to be anything other than yourself. They have an idea of who you should be, and that idea makes them comfortable, meanwhile leaving you feeling unsettled and not knowing if you are good enough just being you.

You are not alone in this feeling; many of us can relate, but today is a new day. Break free from the chains anyone has on you, and be free to be you!

I hope y’all work your way over to my podcast and take a listen as I go into a quick story time about being exactly who you are because, damn it, that’s good enough.

How I’m looking after myself today

Today, I am going to end my day with a bubble bath, a glass of wine, and applying a hydrating face mask. Tomorrow, my husband and I have an event to attend, so I get to play dress up and play in my makeup; I’m thrilled and can’t wait to get ready! Pictures will be headed y’alls way on Monday.

I would love to know how you are looking after yourself and if you’re doing something that makes you feel good and relaxed. Make sure you drink plenty of water, get good rest, tell someone you love them, and laugh, LAUGH ALOT this weekend. Laughing is the best workout for all of us.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I wasted about 5 years with people I should have walked away from much sooner…but, friends, and the more other friends and family tried to tell me that, the more I pushed back…it took me dragging my ass away, as physically as I could that I realized that….ever since I’ve think I’ve kept turning in a lot of directions finding myself, who I am, but those wasted years still affect me now so much that I really don’t trust many…

    1. Warren I can relate to what your saying. I’m sure many people can and I’m like you, because of the past I choose not to give new folks my full trust. Most people don’t deserve it anyway.
Thank you so much for adding this to the conversation.

So important issue, beacuse parents think something wishing the best to their kids, but not
always means that children want’s to be like that. I don’t have kids, but watch my nephews and
maybe i can see what their parents don’t. Congratulations! Thank’s for share.
    Have a lovely weekend!
