Work smart, not hard, MY BEAUTIFUL humans!
You can’t keep up an insane workout routine. The goal should be to make out our weekly schedule and make sure it makes sense.
What do I mean by make sense?
If you want your workout to make sense, you have to choose which days you will weight train on your legs and upper body. If you decide to do a full-body workout, that’s great; don’t hammer on the same body parts daily.
At the beginning of our weight loss journey, we tend to go hard every day, hammering on our bodies like a mad man!
That’s all wrong! Give your body love, grace, and time to change.
Love
Put the hammer down and talk to yourself the way you expect others to. Don’t let a day go by without looking at yourself in the mirror and picking out the things you like. STOP fixating on the things you hate.
Grace
Put the hammer down and ensure you are giving your body time to relax. Go for brief walks and admire everything beautiful outside, and breathe. Meditate and practice yoga on the days you put the hammer down.
Time
Put the hammer down and give your body time to recognize what you want it to do. Our bodies need 30-60 days to react to a new lifestyle change. Allow yourself time to change.
All good things take time!
No matter your size, we are all athletes, and it’s time that we think like one. Athletes train often, but they only train hard sometimes. They know when to put the hammer down and when to pick it back up.
I hope you are enjoying your fitness journey or will choose to start one soon. And when you do, I will be here to remind you to:
Give LOVE yourself
Give yourself GRACE
Allow your body TIME
I hope y’all enjoy this summer weather and life the best you can.
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
