~Saturday Fit Tip~

I cannot, and I will not tell a lie; this is how I’m feeling!

I am on the struggle bus this morning. Well, actually, the struggle bus ran me over and backed over me to make sure I was down.

My body is in need of a good stretch and a walk around my community, and that’s it! Over the last two months, I have lifted weights five days a week, cycle six days a week, and now that it’s so beautiful outside, I have thrown in jogging a mile or two in the morning.

Now this may seem like a lot, but it isn’t because quite often, the peloton rides I choose are 45 minutes and under, and the weightlifting classes are at most 15-20 minutes. However, today will be chill and still kind of day, but I’m keeping my 13-year-old in mind by trying to do something exciting for me. If you have yet to read about how boring I am in her eyes, then please check it out here .

But no matter how much excitement I may find myself in today, I will keep in mind that I must listen to my body!

Listening to your body is the most important part of making fitness a lifestyle. If we were to max out or go to the extreme every day, we would grow bored. Our brains nor our body are wired to maintain a high-stress level every day.

Learning to simplify and chill out will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. But as soon as you overthink, count calories, over-train, and begin criticizing what others are eating, you will hit a brick wall, causing you to sabotage your journey.

I know it will happen because it happened to me and client after client.

Don’t let this happen to you; listen to your damn body, and remember, remaining slow and steady will help you finish the race.

Happy Saturday, my beautiful people!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I guess it doesnt help matters that now the fbi claims that if you work out and such that you need to be put on a terrorist list. Just shows the stupidity of the world lately I guess.
