Saturday Fit Tip

It’s a new dawn, a new day, It’s a new life for me, and I’m feeling good!

Ya know, you start to feel good when you learn to love the skin you’re in—no comparing yourself to anyone.

Just loving you because it’s easy to do!

The moment you start to love yourself, like truly love yourself, you will want nothing but the best for you. There are people that say I love me, but they’re hoping that if they say it enough, they will convince others that they are telling the truth.

I know this to be the case because, once upon a time, I was that person.

I thought that in hopes of convincing others, I would, in return, persuade myself. But my actions told a different story.

There wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t look at myself and compare that one thing to someone else. I would start with my nose and end at my thighs—all of the constant comparisons brought about insecurities that took me years to get rid of.

After I had my third kiddo, I went to the gym, and my jaw dropped as I looked around. I saw women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s looking like damn units. The insecurity that came over me was unreal. All of my old insecurities came rushing back, and I felt so out of place.
I was comparing my day one to the there 5 or 10, or 15 years.

How foolish is that?

The units/women and men all had a day one. No one enters a fitness program or the gym looking like that. It takes years of dedication and determination to get to “unit” status, so knowing that you have to and I had to give myself grace and permission to take it one day at a time.

Getting fit isn’t a race; it’s a lifelong journey. And it all begins at a new dawn, making it a new day to start a new life so that you can feel good about the skin you’re in.

Happy Fit Saturday, my beautiful people!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
