I’m not DEAD yet

The last time I checked, blood was still running through my veins. Since that’s the case, I refuse to live like I’m dead. You’re probably thinking, “What the hell is she talking about?”

Let me explain; life is short! We have yet to determine what tomorrow will bring or if we will be well enough to enjoy a new day. Therefore, I choose to live today like it’s my last good one. I wake up with a type of energy that I can only describe as a “Get it get it, girl” kind of energy.

Not a day goes by that I don’t practice self-care for my mind, body or spirit, or all of the above. It’s so important to be big on creating a space in your life that brings you joy. Have you ever thought about what brings you joy? I would love to read about it in my comment section.

The other day I saw this prompt and thought, now, this is an interesting question.

Daily writing prompt
If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?

The only time I was forced to wear the same outfit was when I was forced to do so while in the United States Military. Other than that, I would have to say that for me, wearing the same thing is a sign of me entering a depressed state.

Life is full of color and possibilities; a huge part of living is partaking in some of that color.

There are several things that make me happy, and it just so happens that clothes are one of them. I enjoy picking out outfits that reflect my mood, whether working out or going to dinner. You can tell how I feel by the color or style I choose.

Life is too short to choose to wear the same boring thing over and over again. Life is more exciting when you sprinkle in color, food, health, and wellness and loving on the people that make your heart happy.

So save being forced to wear the same outfit for later, much later, I hope, because we all still have a lot of living to do.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Hey Belladonna! I also saw that prompt on one of my blogger friend’s site. My answer was ‘anything without spanx!!’ Particularly, my one piece spanx (with the shorts and that sad little ‘pee’ hole)🤣😂

  3. there’s this line I hear everytime I play a video on YouTube about runners….one of the participants says you’re not supposed to make plans, you’re just supposed to let life happen?…I wish I could do that, I spend a lot of time trying to plan every minute…..and I wish I could stop doing that….

  4. Wearing the same clothes can be exhausting.

Taking care of oneself is very important. It improves one’s life and makes each new day seem like a blessing compared to just existing. Have a peaceful remainder of the week.

  6. I didnt bother with that daily, i own probably 10 outfits, 5 winter and 5 summer, they get rotated seasonally due to living in a tiny house. Things that make me happy is getting back into nature which I havnt been able to do much of the last 3 years, putting a line in the water even if I dont catch anything, being around people (the wife doesnt agree though).

    1. Simplifying is a win!!! I love being around people to but I’m a little like you wife at times. Fishing is so relaxing, but I never catch a thing because I talk and mocve around too much, Worse fishing partner ever. LOL

      1. Nah some styles, you actually move a bit. I have at times done a type of fly fishing, jigging and spinning which all use movement instead of just throwing a line in and waiting for a bite.

      2. Okay that’s the type of fishing I need to do. It’s so calming and if I do catch something I throw it back. I hate gutting and cleaning fish, I’m horrible at it and make a mess.

      3. I hear ya there, if i dont catch enough to make meal, it usually gets cleaned and froze for when Ive caught more. Typicaly they only het thrown back if they are too small, I’m over limit or I know I wont have time to clean them. But I usually fillet them anyways so theres not much of a mess. Also a secret I came upon a few years ago as well is to get the smell off your hands, rub stainless steel on your hands while rinsing under cold water.

  7. I start my day with my daughter’s continuous banters and non-stop questions, some of which, I don’t even know how to answer. And these things make me immensely happy.

  8. You pushed a few buttons here. Though my life tends to be pretty full and exciting I rarely think of what I put on. A totally new concept for me. Maybe I’ll try it lol!

  12. Thinking of my children brings me immense joy. To know I had even a small bit to do with their future and their happiness, makes me feel content. Doing something kind for someone brings me joy too. Dancing, singing and reading also. And lastly, being on a beach. 🙂
