How it started…Thanksgiving Day

Cooking my Thanksgiving on Wednesday is my little tradition.

The food always tastes better the next day. Think about it, the seasoning and sautee vegetables have had to marinate with whichever dish you are making; now, the flavors are bursting. Also, cooking the night before frees up my morning for complete concentration on my desserts. But, let’s face it, that’s what we want anyway, so the dessert has to be perfected.

Another tradition is preparing a perfect beginning to a blessed day.

I get up and make the works!

Breakfast Menu

French Toast

Potatoe Cakes

Spinach

Cheesy Eggs

Cod

Beverage

Coffee

Green Juice

Orange Juice

Grape Juice

The hearty breakfast ties us over until dinner and gives us the energy to do a quick workout or take a long walk. I usually do 45 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weights. By 3 o’clock, I’m ready to watch movies, play board games, eat, and enjoy my family.

How do you start your Thanksgiving Day?

Happy Thanksgiving, I am so grateful and blessed to have you all in my life!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I just love your family and how you speak about them and your everyday life. And that breakfast looks delicious! I typically cook mostly everything the night before as well. For breakfast, I had pan seared turkey sausage, grits, apple slices, water, orange juice, and coffee. Jernee and I had our two walks so far and we’ll have another one shortly. On today’s menu: honey mustard bbq chicken, potato salad, and collard greens.

    Enjoy your Thanksgiving, Bella!

Sounds like a perfect start to your day and I know Jernee had fun on her walks. Larry went for a stroll and grawled at every dog he saw. LOL
