Belladonna’s Flashlight

Meat Loaf, you made a catchy tune! My favorite lyrics in the song are "I would do anything for love." I can just sing that one line over and over again from the top of my lungs. I sing those lyrics with so much conviction you would think I meant it. I've been married for 22 years and love my crazy husband very much; however, I have limitations on what I will do for love. I never have nor will I ever be so in love that I lose myself. Real love should not require that you lose yourself to remain in love. To all my parents out there with teenage kids with hormones running on high, let them know that when you start doing anything for love, you will stop at nothing to keep it. Trying to hold on to love will age you and have you wasting years that could have been used to make something out of your life. When I look at Meat Loaf's lyrics, I think, geesh, he would do anything for love except the following: "I'll never forgive myself if we don't go all the way tonight / I would do anything for love / But I won't do that. "I'll never stop dreaming of you every night of my life / I'll do anything for love / But I won't do that. "I'll never forget the way you feel right now / I will do anything for love / But I won't do... what?" That's not going to work for me, Meat Loaf, but out of respect for him, I'll say we all will go to different lengths to keep that love spark going. I, however, have my limitations.
