25 Years Later And I’m Still Giddy

I never noticed how nervous I get when I see you!

The other day, I met my husband for lunch, and the feeling I had when I saw him is indescribable. His warm energy and smile never fail to stir something profound within me.

We’ve been married for 25 years!!!!!!

Yes, 25 years; however, it feels new. Our relationship constantly evolves, and if we didn’t have the kids, I would lose track of how long it’s actually been. 

On the day we met for lunch, it felt like a first date all over again. We arranged to meet at a bustling mall, a place that always seems to be in a hurry. As I navigated through the crowd, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It’s funny how even after all these years, the sight of you still makes my heart race.

When I entered the mall, I called my husband so that I could get his exact location. After a few wrong turns, I saw the back of his head, and I said, “I see you, stop walking and turn around”.

And when he did, my heart skipped a bit, and the biggest smile slid across my face! It was like the first time I saw him, all those years ago, and I fell in love with him all over again in that moment.

When I think about you, I instantly become giddy! It’s an exhilarating feeling that lights up my day. Whether it’s your smile, your laughter, or just the way you carry yourself, I can’t help but feel a rush of happiness. It’s being a kid again, where everything seems magical and full of possibilities. Just being around you brings out that joyous side of me, and I cherish every moment. Thank you for being such a delightful presence in my life!

25 years down and a lifetime to go!

    … not that I can complain, we have just filled the 32 years. We got married late, both the second time, and we both had given up on love, haha.
