Yesterday, you felt good enough. But today, something seems to have changed. What could it be?
If you can answer that question, then you are the most intelligent person in the room. Feeling good enough often comes from a combination of self-acceptance, accomplishments, and a positive mindset. It’s about recognizing your worth, embracing your strengths, and understanding that everyone has unique qualities and experiences that contribute to who they are.
Your unique qualities are what make you valuable and worthy of feeling good enough.
When we appreciate ourselves for who we are rather than constantly comparing ourselves to others, we can experience a greater sense of confidence and fulfillment.
What do you think makes someone feel good enough? Take a moment to reflect on your own self-worth and what it means to you.
Yesterday, I wrote about the word DESERVE. Please click the link if you haven’t read this article yet. Deserve ~Scary Seven Letter Word~
Deserve can be a tricky word to unpack; not feeling worthy enough is a common theme. And if you don’t feel like you deserve to be celebrated, to be happy, to feel at peace with yourself, etc., then you will probably struggle with feeling like you are enough.
Growing Up In a Household That Made You Feel Like You Weren’t Enough
This can destroy your life if you don’t fight to fix it. A toxic home filled with constant criticism, emotional neglect, lack of praise and validation, negativity, and constant comparison to siblings will indeed hold the grown-up, you, hostage.
And you don’t DESERVE that!
We have one life to live, so we have to make it good. We are on this earth for a short time and we all deserve to have a great time. This can be done by doing one thing: realizing that everything about you is ENOUGH.
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

I’ve come back and read this post three times. It’s something I’ve needed to hear after dealing with a relatively petty person/problem who managed to give me a clanging headache today. I was ready to give up and curl up in a corner and bawl my eyes out: but you made me realize I have the right to expect to be treated with civility and respect. You also made me realize that some people are not worth tracking back for. Thank you, appreciate your blog!

I am so happy that you feel validated after reading this. I hope that who ever made you feel less than will never have that power to do that again. I hope that you have the best weekend!

Our mindset makes the difference, Bella. It’s those negative thoughts that can spiral our self-esteem downwards if we give them permission. Thanks for the great reminder! xo

In our family it was actually my elder brother who did the criticizing. He criticized everybody, and later, when I was out of that family home, I realised that he was a very unhappy person. So, he had to make everybody, who was more happy than him unhappy too. A very sad existence, but while I lived there it was not easy. He told me, when I was 16, that I was a dreamer and not fit for life. Who says something like that to a sibling? Or to anybody?
I can thank mostly myself for overcoming those years, and I always had very good friends, which also showed me that I wasn’t all bad. 😉 .-) ❤

This gave me chills, so sad!!!! You are enough and exactly what God had in mind! It’s so upsetting that you were told that but I’m so proud of you for overcoming that negativity.
