10 Ways To Feel Beautiful

Do you want to feel like the beauty you are?

Before you read the list below, let’s state the obvious. If you’re having self-esteem issues, shut down your social media account. You aren’t emotionally equipped to handle all the fakeness that you will see on IG, FB, TikTok, or anything else.

The majority of things and people you see on social media are full of crap. There are filters on the majority of pictures. And please don’t get me started on the “I love my husband/ wife so much” posts.

But here are the posts that really get me: Fitness Influencers who set up their cameras and then run by them like they are having the best run of their lives. Knowing damn well, they have to stop, get the camera, and set it up in the new location so they can run by it again.

The shock of my life

Once upon a time, a lady grew her IG account based on false fitness advice. She taught women how to grow their glutes, and then, surprise, surprise, this individual caught the worst infection due to her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

Onwards and Upwards, I suppose!

I hope y’all read the list below with an open mind and will continue to love you just as you are.

Here are 10 ways to help you feel beautiful

1. Practice self-care regularly, whether it’s skincare, exercise, or relaxation.

2. Wear clothes that make you feel confident and comfortable.

  2. YESSS!! AAAAMEN!! PREEEEACH!! Great, wise, and very informative post! Social media is the the worst FAKE NEWS when it comes to all these women pretending to be someone they aren’t 🙄 Social media is the MAIN cause of why so many teens and younger girls have such horrible low self-esteem and low self-confidence, including my youngest daughter. It’s a pure disgrace! This seriously needs to go viral!!! More and More girls and women around the world need to see this!! 👏👏👏👏👏

    1. Awwww thank you thank you thank you!!! I praay that your daughter grows out of tis stage. My daughter was fooled for a bit and it worried me so much. Social media is terrible if you are lacking confidence and believe everything you see.

      1. Thank you so much sweetheart. As a mother myself, I see how much it’s destroying my daughter’s self-esteem and self-confidence down. It will literally take an act of God to convince her that she is beautiful. It saddens me to hear how she tears herself down. She can’t see past her own blindness. She has absolutely no idea how beautiful she really is. Today’s society has become an evil place for our kids to be. I hate that she has to grow up in it.

What’s even more heartbreaking is, I did the same thing to myself in high school that she is doing now. So I know exactly how that feels; to be your worst enemy. She doesn’t and refuses to see what her dad and I see. And besides that, it’s not what is on the outside that matters. The light and beauty you carry inside is ultimately what matters. But until she looks within and accepts herself for how God built her, only then she will see the beauty she carries; inside as well as out.

  3. Such a poignant topic. My 12-year-old granddaughter is shrinking into herself at the moment, and my heart is sinking. She carries a little more weight than her year older cousin and is already self-critical. Damn. Your point about social media is right on.

    1. Thank you VJ!
I hate hearing that, but with her being 12 the extra weight can be from puberty or she’s about to grow. Alot of kiddos pack on weight and then their height shoots up. Encourage her to ditch SM and dive into something she loves.

  4. Hahaha … Then run by after setting up!!!! That should have been the workout post! I never fall for it … probably because I wasn’t born yesterday. It is sad though all the young people who have succumbed to unrealistic expectations of the illusions of social media. Excellent list, Belladonna ❤ that will yield far greater results!
