Are You In Love or Are you Desperate?

Your type was athletic, football player type, but they walked over you; so you changed types!

Is it possible to be attracted to the very type you made fun?

I’ve seen both genders change the type of people they were attracted to after their type wasn’t attracted to them. And I wonder, are they in love with their new love? Or are they in love with the idea of finally being loved?

When you’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places for 10 years, then you should try looking somewhere else. Obviously, you aren’t having luck with “YOUR TYPE,” so it seems like trying a new type might be your answer.

There she was at a brand new restaurant, in an area with her best friend that she wasn’t familiar with but she was already feeling at ease. The music they played was so soft and romantic. Everyone seated was well groomed, with men with fresh haircuts and well-groomed beards or just smooth faces. 

To her, they looked like money and class, but not her type!

The women were elegant; they wore formal evening dresses or pencil skirts that fell just below the knee. Their jewelry screamed TIFFANY’S, and their shoes were nothing less than red bottoms.

As she looked around the crowd, she wondered if she and her friend were underdressed with their skirts that squeezed their thighs and shirts that showed a little belly. This was not their crowd, or was it?

When they were sipping their expensive cocktails and waiting for the main course to be served, a gentleman walked over to the table and introduced himself. 

He held out his hand and said, “I’m sorry to bother you, but I had to introduce myself; I’m Bennet, and your name is”?

When she put her hand in his, she felt something that she never felt before. As she fought through her heart, which felt like it was beating out of her chest, she said, “Hi, I’m Nikki, I mean Nicole.

I was just thinking about this and how some act…I remember senior highschool there were a few fellow students that were made fun of constantly. and a teacher….this was the mid 70s, yes we knew the teacher was gay, and he was treated awful by staff and students…I just learned that not long after I graduated he killed himself…I knew, I didn’t care what anyone eas, but I never said anything either…and this was a time when Asian students from India and Punjab were immigrating here…there were two girls, I want to say my first crush (they were gorgeous, OMG) but they were always off on their own..and there were a few more that were constantly picked on….did I say anything?…..I’ve got to say a lot of huge regrets….now? this sounds staged, but I just don’t see differences..wish I felt stronger about that back then…..lots of guilt

    1. Awww you shouldn’t carry any regret! When we know better we do better and I’m sure most of us can relate to you. Sometimes we don’t know what to say and then as we age we do better

  11. WOW Queen B, what a story, but quite ‘non-fictional’ when compared to situations we witness these days. Often we get so enamored with the physical attributes and financials of an individual that we lose touch with the pulse of the spirit to see whether there is an actual love connection or lust connection. Cute story! 😍💞🥰
