From The Window To The WALL

Shake what ya momma gave ya!

This prompt made me stop what I was doing and answer to the best of my hip-shaken ability.

When it comes to exercise, you have to do what you like. If you try to copy a trend or fad, you will not find joy after a few workouts. So, the key is to do what feels right—do something that will put a smile on your face.

Daily writing prompt
What’s the most fun way to exercise?

You know what does it for me?

DANCING!

Any type of dancing you throw at me, I’m going to smile and do it to the best of my ability. Dancing makes me happy and feel alive. Whenever I dance, I feel like a carefree, kidless 20-year-old again.

So why would I stop? Nope, I’m not going to quit until the Lord sends me home, and even then, I’ll be dancing right past Jesus into the pearly gates.

What says you?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Dancing is the best and most mood lifting exercise for a good condition, walks in nature as well, if possible. At my age now (retiree), I do go to the gym and train my muscles, so that I keep my strength. It is not so much fun, but the result is there, and that keeps me going. I don’t want to become a sofa plant 😉

      1. Yes ma’am! I agree 110%! Not only does it lift your mood but it’s also a great coping skill and allows mental healing.

I also love watching other people dance. I always watch their feet so I can learn new dances. I am one of those who strongly connects with music. It’s a self expression of what words can’t begin to say.

  2. I love to dance as well. I am not the best at “choreographed” dances that require me to follow certain moves because I like to flow and move my own way, depending on my mood! I dance most when I’m cleaning!
