Sometimes strength has to be taught, and sometimes you are born with all the power you need. I wasn’t born with the strength that I have today.
However, I was born with a low tolerance level for irrational behavior.
Foolishness and inconsistent behavior have never been amusing to me. So it’s no surprise that my husband and kids share that same attribute. I think that’s why we can all spend so much time together and get along so well.
When I was just a young child, I second-guessed myself; I felt like I was never good enough. I often had people make fun of me for different reasons, but everyone did. Right?
Then one day, I said enough is enough. I promised myself never to let words or opinions affect me. I quickly learned how to turn my back and twirl in a positive direction. I quickly adjusted my frame by holding my head up and chest out.
We all have to walk with power. Not just any walk but a strenuous walk, with long strides. Your walk should be a clear indication of how you handle everything in your life. If you find things are crumbling and falling apart, then it’s time to self-evaluate and fix everything broken around you.
Then readjust your walk!
Of course, it’s impossible to walk with power every day because, after all, we are human, and we all have moments where we’re tired and need someone to hold us up. That’s okay. But when you can regain your strength, do it with a sense of urgency. Don’t waste time thinking about how you stumbled or why you needed help. Just know that you are up again and feeling powerful.
Today when you are approaching your goals, step towards them with a purpose. Hit life hard today by walking with power!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored.

Sometimes watching the telly or radio station … walk or a promenade is power in the human being world. Take care and enjoy!

I’m glad you figured this out young. I’m in my 50’s and am finally getting the hang of this. Yes it took getting fed up 💕

Walking with power. I like that Bella. It’s fantastic you feel like that. Not everyone finds that strength and understanding of how much they’re worth. You’re a strong lady. 💪

I completely agree with you, Bella. My husband’s recent cardiac event has made me pause and reconsider my impatience and sharp tongue. I am a much gentler Kerry!

A wondeful post, Belladonna. It is so true. How we carry ourselves, including how we walk, speaks volumes about our own perceptions of who we are. Powerful, are we, I say! Let’s walk that way! ❤️🚶♀️🚶🚶🏿♀️🚶🏾

Girl Belladonna, this is truly revealing about what our vulnerabilities look like, and how we garner strength in the midst of them if we would only watch, look and listen. Kudos to you girlfriend. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Your walk is taller, more erect, and with purpose! 🚶🏽♀️😊🏃🏽♀️ March on girlfriend!

You are certainly welcome my girl. Oh yes, I agree, until one’s mouth opens to reveal something of an imposter in the midst. However, in that sense, your walk will reveal your foolishness too…all goofy and wobbly. 😲

This made me smile. My father always coached us – chest forward, shoulders back, head held high – and I was noted for my power walk. Nowadays, health has taken my legs, and I stumble about like a drunken fool, but I still hold my head high. No shame in being unabashedly ourselves!
