Look After Yourself Friday

If you try it, you’ll be hooked!

No, I’m not talking about my podcast, which is linked below, but hey, maybe you will (fingers crossed).

Positivity

If you tell yourself that this weekend will be the best weekend of your life, then it will be. When you change your mindset, you can change the trajectory of your life.

Speaking positivity in your life is addictive!

You may be rolling your eyes like yeah, right, I have bills that are due, and I can barely afford to pay them, or I just broke up with the love of my life, and life seems dark and pointless, or I just lost my job, and I have people depending on me, or my kids are driving me up the wall, and I need a moment to myself.

Whatever the case, every horrific situation can and will improve with positive thinking. A bad moment will only worsen if you give in to that situation and allow it to define who you are.

We are not our current situation!

Sometimes we need to step back and give ourselves a moment to look after ourselves. We need to ensure we have the proper tools around us to help us obtain the most positive outlook.

Listen, life is complicated and unpredictable, and if we crumbled every time the unimaginable happened, we would all be in pieces. But we have a choice: we can fall apart or look for a solution to our problem (If possible)?

I don’t know about you, but I want to think positively, always holding hope in both hands. The problems or foggy picture in front of me today can be turned into the clearest, most beautiful picture tomorrow IF I WORK TOWARDS IT.

How I’m looking after myself today

With that being said, today, I am looking after myself by just sitting still and taking in the things I can’t control and actively working on changing the things I do control. This weekend I want to work on being more positive; oh, and going to see a movie, and of course, I’ll be eating tacos!

So here goes nothing!

How are you looking after yourself today?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I better think positive…I’ve got a half marathon on Sunday morning, with not a lot of training…I’m kind of known for undertraining, so oh well….positve thinking, it’s a like a cult right?….I just finished ready a book by Chip Wilson (the Lululemon founder) and he started from really nothing…but it seems like he just kept going forward…looking forward positvely, so yes, thinking positively and not sleep in on Sunday

  2. I am trying to take the time to use body lotion instead of rushing out of the bathroom. After work, rushed straight to the next thing, after that instead of cooking dinner, went out for Mexican.
