Not only did we make it to see another Friday, but we also have the opportunity to set this day up for a beautiful beginning!
How often have you said, “Tomorrow I’m going to start on my fitness journey, or I’m going to grab hold of my finances and turn my situation around? The list of tomorrows can go on and on. The point is, stop putting off the things you can do today for tomorrow.
I encourage and challenge everyone to do something that takes guts!
We sit around, wanting things to arrive at our doorstep. But life is unlike an Amazon package; we have to go and get the things we desire to have. A blessing will not fall out of the sky if we don’t work hard after we pray for it.
A good life, a stress-free life, requires discipline, action, and a hell of a lot of motivation!
If being fit, financially stable, and happy within your career and life, in general, were easy to achieve, then everyone would accomplish those things. But we all know it takes effort, dedication, and a positive mindset.
How I’m looking after myself today
Today I was fed up with myself. Over the last few months, I’ve been dragging my feet about making a challenging move for my career. It’s become a habit for me to tell myself that this move will be risky, take a lot of effort, and will pull me out of my new normal, creating a new normal.
But I am so fed up with not making this move. So today, I made a promise and commitment to truck forward and take the chance toward a happy place. I woke up and wrote down my plan. I will look at it daily and work as hard as I can until my new normal is my old one. I choose TODAY to start a beautiful beginning.
I would love to see what y’all are planning to do for yourselves today. I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
~Belladonna~

Keep on trucking🚛, Sis💕

This year I decided I was going to lose that cranky ten pounds that I’ve been wanting to lose for years. I more than doubled that goal and am maintaining.
Grab that goal Bella, you have everything it takes to do so.

Oh my Queen B. 👑 Love this: “The list of tomorrows can go on and on.” I understand how you feel, because tomorrow many never come. I had to have these exact talks with myself more than I care to. Fortunately, those talks are less these days! 😎 You got this ladybug! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

That’s so good that the talks have slowed down. I’m working on that. Thank you Kym.

You are not along Queen B. Such lists can be managed so they won’t manage us! You’re good girl. You did the main thing, which was to acknowledge it before taking a whack at it! 🥊🥊🥊

This is so true because in the end you do the most work. If you are lucky, you have supportive family, friends, but in the end it is up to you to take care and make the change, believe in yourself and fudge the naysayers because if it were easy, they would be doing it also.

AMEN to all of this!!!!!! They would be doing it too, I know that’s right.

I just did math…I’m almost 65, one grandparent passed away at 74, one at almost 100, my dad is 90, mom 89, life expectancy here is 80….if I get lucky, and live until 100, that means I have 35 years to live, only 35 years….I’ve been married for 36 years, so I looked in the mirror, what would I do, or anyone if they were told they only had 35 years to live?….the answer is pretty simple, LIVE…..and I’m going to add be a good person the best person one can be for those 35 years….I’ve thought this before, a friend passed away back in 2010, when she passed I told myself that the best way to honor her memory was to be just that, a good person…..the person she thought I was

Wow Warren that’s eye oopening when you put it that way. I’m to scared to do the math so I’ll do as you and LIVE. Choosing to be the person that she thought you were is so well put, as always.

Look at you go! I am excited for you. I knew you were going to ask how we took care of ourselves today/ I got a full 8 hours sleep. I did my makeup. I told someone I have been struggling a bit with my depression. Now I am going to sit outside and enjoy some nature.

I’ve applied not waiting until tomorrow to food. I could wait until I do something more deserving to order takeout, or wait to reward myself with buying something special with my groceries. But always waiting until another tomorrow to enjoy life also seems silly.

Yes it is very silly. We ddon’t know what tomorrow brings so reward yourself today, you deserve that!!!!
