I SHOULD have said that< I WILL say that

You don’t need more time!

Today, you have the power to speak your heart. We can’t rewrite the past, but we can craft a future that surpasses our wildest dreams. Have you ever felt the weight of unsaid words for someone you’ve lost?

I know it’s easier said than done, but you must let go of everything you didn’t say and embrace the living. Embrace, hug, kiss, love, and shower your loved ones with all you have. This could be through a heartfelt letter, a surprise visit, or a simple ‘I love you ‘text.

Give them all of you!

I should have said I love how you love

I should have said your poems were brilliant

I should have said I love your laugh

I should have said I admire the way you remained strong throughout the God-awful marriage you had

I should have told you to leave him when you were chasing after him

I should have told you I loved you one more time

I’m glad I say I love you every day

I give you all my attention and love, listening to your stories

I put everything on pause so I can give you my time

I will travel for hours to get to where you are

Not one night goes by without me telling you how much I love you

That loud, crazy lady in the audience, that’s just me being your #1 fan

The last 25 years have been the best years of my life

We have today —make the most of it and tell your loved ones how much you love and need them in your life.

Don’t wait for more time. Love the living now and let the ones you’ve lost rest in power and everlasting peace. Give yourself permission to breathe easy and love hard.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Well said Belladonna. A friend says all the time “mean what you say, say what you mean.” She uses the phrase to express a number of different meanings, but my favorite is to make the most of the most every moment. Yes, yes, “Give yourself permission to breathe easy and love hard.” Love it.
