State Bound ~UPDATE~

Despite my initial reluctance during the Flag football season, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming State Championship game!

Okay, let me set the scene for you. My daughter, the little dynamo, is involved in EVERYTHING. And since she’s not old enough to drive, yours truly becomes her personal chauffeur. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it, right? 

Yep, you guessed it, yours truly!

Wait, did I say I underpaid? I meant ZERO pay.

When my daughter decided to try out for Flag Football, I was under the impression that games would be few and far between. But once the schedule was released, I had to stifle a laugh at the sheer number of games. And the kicker is how late the games were scheduled.

My little Mako is a freshman in High School, so she made the JV and Varsity teams, which means twice the number of games! As quarterback, she led the JV team to an undefeated season, and with Varsity, she shared the quarterback position with a senior, and together, they led the team to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

So, in the beginning, I panicked

In the middle of the season, I was beyond tired

Now, in the end, I have my cowbell, and fat head of my baby girl

WE READY!

Say a prayer and wish this beautiful group of young ladies well!

UPDATE

It was a great game, but we lost! The good thing is we have three more years to try to become State Champions, but until then, we are focusing on having a kick-ass basketball season!

  4. Oh, that’s awesome. Good luck on States. And here’s the hundred million dollar question. If you’re daughter and her team win the State Championship, what’s your reward? You better get a trophy. But I think even better yet, how about your daughter serving you breakfast in bed for a month. What do you think Belladonna? Ha, ha, congratulations. And yes, always room for more cowbell!

      She is one busy kid and keeps me going. As of tomorrow I’ll be able to catch up on everyone’s blog, including yours! Can’t wait and I’m bringing my cowbell🤣🤣🤣🤣
