My Time Is Valuable So Don’t Waste It

Watches don’t suit me, and they never have!

I wore one reluctantly a few years ago when I was counting my damn steps, but that faded just as quickly as it started. If my pants are getting tighter and the scale is going up, then what the hell is this watch doing for me?

Nope, I’m good, off with the watch!

Wearing that watch was wasting my time. I spent more moments checking my progress throughout the day than I care to share. I was hooked, and when it broke, I felt a massive sense of relief.

When it broke, my hold on time broke right along with it. I spent so much time doing workouts that didn’t improve my strength or challenge me. The only thing these pointless exercises did was get me to my step goal and WASTE MY TIME.

Don’t Waste My Time

If I’m not going to waste my time, I’ll be damned if I allow anyone else to do it. I know a lot of people have trouble weeding friends who you thought were friends out of their life, but not me. If you lie to me, lie on me, or kick up trouble, I will leave you right where I found you.

No second chances! I respect myself and my time too much to allow anyone to waste it.

Hearing excuses as to why you did what you did to send our relationship/friendship down the drain isn’t my problem, so listening to you is indeed a waste of my time.

Love Yourself Enough To Walk Away From Time Wasters

When you love and respect yourself and value every moment that you have on this earth, you won’t allow anyone or anything to rob you of your time.

My time is valuable, and I dare you to waste it!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Time is a precious thing. Ive learned not to waste it on anyone negative . Great post. I know what you mean about tracking things!! I deleted my calorie tracker because I can just look them up and remember what I already know lol 😂😂 . Looking at the apps or watches do take so much time

  2. Sometimes it takes us a bit of time to realise how much of our time is being stolen by those who don’t respect us.

This maturity thing is very cool. We actually take action now.

  3. I’m also less tolerant of having my time wasted. That doesn’t just apply to friendships. Recently I was having trouble with customer service. I asked myself how much my time is worth and didn’t bother to pursue the matter. Yes, I lost money, but that was better than losing time and adding stress just to get my money back. (So didn’t get my refund – lost money but gained time and peace.)

  4. 😂 Your post reminded me of a few teachers I once worked with, walking in place during lunch to get their steps in. There was a monetary reward (thru benefits) at the end of the year if we reached a certain number of steps. My waterproof watch did not survive an ocean swim. I didn’t miss it. 😅 Thanks Coach B!

    1. All my friends that are teachers swear by those darn watches and are always having competitions.
Those watches are supposed to waterproof but mine died because of water as well 🤭🤣🤣🤣

  5. Guurrrrllllll…LMBO 😂😜🤣 I can relate. I had a few Fitbit’s for a while, and perhaps at first they were helping me to be disciplined, but later my sentiments were the same as yours. They were controlling me more than assisting me. I did the same thing and I was becoming more robotic than it was! 😱 So now, I boxed those puppies up and they are somewhere in my closet and the batteries have long since gone, slam-bam-thank you ma’am DEAD! ⌚ Another one bites the dust!
