Eyes Wide Shut

My current situation!

I will not put the brand of eye masks out there for the world to see, but to be careful which products you try.

About two months ago, I invested in eye masks in hopes of brightening up underneath my eyes. And well, let’s say they did their job and then some.

When I first used them, I was in love with how they made me look, and now here I am, looking like I was just in the ring with Mike Tyson. Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but you get my point.

My eyes are so puffy that my right eye is barely visible.

Yesterday, my left eye matched my right, so to see one normal eye is a bit of relief. Now, I look like I was too quick for Mike to hit my left side.

Welp, I’m off to do some resting up; I’ll catch up with y’all tomorrow.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Oh no Sista girlfriend! 😱🥊😎 Mike Tyson? Not Muhammad Ali, or Joe Frazier, or Sugar Ray Leonard, but Mike Tyson? Girl I feel ya! I was in the cosmetics industry for years, and right now, I really don’t think the FDA is monitoring many of the se beauty items that’s out here today like it was in the 80s and 90s. But typically, allergies from the product occur within 24 hours, but that is not always the gospel. You did however react to something in the product.

A cold compress sometimes helps with swelling and itching, but I’m sure you have stopped using the product. Consult a dermatologist, as many have advised if your condition worsens. I would also notify the company of that item as well. But do give your eyes and your body rest. No calisthenics for today. It’s hell trying to be gorgeous! LOL 😜 But seriously though, stay away from Mike, Ike, and Spike!

      Not Ike’s punk ass!
Girl yes I saw a slight reaction as soon as I pulled them off and then the following two days they were completely swollen😡
Today is much better. Just a slight swelling in my right eye. My husband wanted to go out to dinner, I said no sir you know I don’t go out without mascara…. Boy bye

      1. Guuurrrrrlllllll, no not the mascara! I am so with you on that one. Gotta have that, brows done and lipstick is a requirement. Now, I don’t do those tarantula eyelashes or any false lashes at all. You talk about tearing out your eyelashes out from the follicles! UGH! 👁👀👁‍🗨

But seriously, it sounds like you just have to give this reaction time, which you are doing. But your husband tho…someone would have thought he was abusing you, but I don’t think he thought that one through. 🤭😱🤪 Yet Queen B, after your Boy Bye, well…need we say more? 🤣😜😂

      2. LOLOLOL the tarantula eyelashes are one of the worse things created. I don’t see how anyone finds those things attractive. They seem like they would be so heavy!

My husband was thinking about food and food only. I’m sittin here looking like Ms. Sophia at the dinner table and he’s trying to get me to leave the house. LOL
But today I’m finally feeling like myself, praise God!

  2. oh yeah…fractured my occipital, knocked myself out on a path for about 30 minutes, and took a couple of weeks to see a doctor….I apparently was really lucky according my doctor and physio…and was told first to buy a lottery ticket, and not to do that ever again

      1. nope, I had my staff actually yelling at me to see a doctor, but it was before christmas, we were busy, I couldn’t take time off?…and hey, I played hockey, we’d fall and bump our heads all the time……but yeah, when I think about it, I do get a little scared…
