What’s your LOVE Language?

Perfect post for TACO TUESDAY!

I have many love languages, but one will stand the test of time. Well, several will, but it’s Taco Tuesday, so of course, I’m going with food. Asking me if I’m hungry or what I can get you to eat is music to my ears.

I love trying new food and most definitely retrying my favs over and over again!
So today, I’m bringing you one of my go-to’s for Taco Tuesday. At first glance, it looks like it might be complicated to make, but please look at the steps again and again. Quickly you will realize that this recipe is not complicated, and the best part is you will have LEFTOVERS.
When you have a lot going on and have to think about meals every single day, leftovers are your best friend

Ingredients

  • Steak/roast or Chicken
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 hot pepper
  • Seasonings
  • 8 cups of water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Soft tortilla shells

Steps

  1. Brown all sides of the meat
  2. Remove from stove and add all veggies that you chopped only in half and add cinnamon sticks as well as water
  3. Add meat back. Cover and cook on low for 45 minutes
  4. Remove all veggies, and put cinnamon sticks to the side for now
  5. Blend all veggies and pour back into the pot and add cinnamon sticks back to the pot
  6. Shred all meat and put it back into the pot
  7. Cook on low heat until you are ready to serve

Dip Toritillas in the sauce, lay on a baking sheet, and set oven to 375. Heat for 5 minutes.
I always add cheese, jalapeno peppers, and lettuce to the top of my tacos.

Here is a little video I put together. I hope it helps to see a visual.
Happy Tuesday, and don’t forget to tell me your LOVE LANGUAGE!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

      1. Many years ago, I set out on a quest… searching for the “best” fish taco after eating a delicious one in San Diego. The quest continues and now they are (mostly) vegan. 😂
