There was nothing typical about today!

Today My Husband and I arrived back home after a long weekend. We celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary and had the best time at Chateau Elan Winery and Resort.

Let me take you back to the beginning of our story. I met this incredible human in the fall of 1994, well here is the post I wrote about us, and I would love for y’all to read it and then come back!The Day I Fell In Love “Part 1

Okay, hopefully, you read it, and now you know how damn odd I am when I see someone attractive. When I met my husband, I broke every rule I ever created for myself. 

  1. I approached him
  2. I smiled, hell I was giddy
  3. I let my guard down

And if I could do it all over again, I WOULD!

Y’all, this vacay is precisely what we needed. We always get away for a couple of days once a year, but extending it for a couple of more days made all the difference.
We arrived at our resort and spa on Friday and were greeted by the bellman with a glass of champagne, who helped with our bags. After we checked in, they took us to our room, which was FABULOUS!

It was a quaint two-story suite, and the room smelled of stress relief Eucalyptus and spearmint, just like the main lobby. The entire downstairs of the spa resort houses the jacuzzi, pool, and every spa service you can think of. And if you want to venture away from the spa, you can travel to the other side of the resort and choose to dine at three fabulous restaurants.

Y’all know I love food, so we ventured around the resort and nibbled on so much goodness!

We spent this time reconnecting, having spa services, and just being plain, oh silly, while we celebrated 23 years of marriage.

We made memories, and I look forward to making a million more with this love of mine.

  22. Okay. Happy anniversary, but my main takeaway is your name is Kelli? Not Bella or Donna? Or Belladonna, this is just your writer name? Also, I wish you would have posted a pic from when you were dating and the spa sounds awesome.
