Your mind and body might be working against you!
Every client I’ve ever had began making excuses at the end of the first month of their weight loss journey.
The conversation would go like this;( ALWAYS via text message or email)
Client; Hi Bella, this is Rebecca (fake name); I hate to tell you this, but I must quit your program because I’m so busy with work and kids. I don’t have time to keep up with the program, but I plan to call you soon so we can get back to business. I’m sorry to quit for now; I know you are disappointed in me.
Me; I delete or ignore the message and give them the space they need. Then I move on to the client, ready to jump on their healthy journey.
After being a trainer for so long (not anymore), I grew tired of chasing people down so they would continue their journey. I learned early on that I can’t convince anyone to do anything they don’t want to do.
Getting your health on track has to be a YOU thing! If you want something bad enough, then you will never find an excuse good enough to keep you from your goal. Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom before we snap into our journey, and that’s okay.
I’ve had my fair share of rock-bottom moments! And I’m thankful for every one of those moments. During those times, I learned more about myself, and it took me wanting to see a change and feel pain-free. There wasn’t one trainer, weight loss program, or anything else that could make me want to change.
Change has to come from within you and only you! And I can’t say this enough, ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY, and who cares if you eat something you shouldn’t? Just keep going and NEVER GIVE UP!
I believe in you!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

If I win a big lottery, I will have the trainer move in to a little home off to the side with my meal planner. Until then, I will follow a few youTubers, recipes for keto, and keep on going to the gym.

Great post, Belladonna. So very true, you shouldn’t have to convince anyone to do what benefits them. Love it.💕

I learned that the hard way. I used to talk and talk and try to convince them to stay. But that never worked and if it did, they surely didn’t last much longer than a week.

So true. I have seen that happen too, often times they revert to what they are comfortable with which stops all progress.💕

So true. I had a 40 year holistic/spiritual/mind body therapy practice and it was the same thing. Change has to be your decision and commitment.

Love the start…Your mind and body might be working against you!
Just thinking aloud.
Once we know which one is more prominent we can break the connection and work one at a time. Is it mind or body?
Easier said than done but can be done. Divide and Rule policy for a good cause 🙂

Thank you!
Well your mind is the strongest muscle so once you give up mentally, that’s a wrap. Many people find it difficult to fight through the pain that some exercises bring and their mind is telling them to quit. And they do just that.
I agree with ya, easier ssid then done. Thank you for this back and forth.

My body always fights with me. Like yesterday and the weekend before, i wanted to keep going, by body did not. I keep paying for it, its not like when I was younger and could keep going and going, wasnt like this til I recovered from covid this last winter. Seem my body keeps giving out.

Tell me about it!!!! Covid struck me twice and left me fighting to get my strength and daily habits back on track.
Just remember to listen to your body and when you need to rest, REST!

Dont usually have the luxury, during the while time i was still playing catch up to get things done because it was taking longer. Same now, its like i just dont yave the stamina to keep going and got body parts that seem like they are falling apart. Last weekend, just took the day to get things done and woke up with a knee so swollen that i couldn’t move it. Thursday did some work for some one and now my ankle is twice the size it should be.. smh im just falling apart.

Oh wow that sounds painful! Drink bone a cup of warm bone broth for your inflammation.
Also cold bath (no warm water) and sit in it for 5 minutes a few times a week. I’m tellin you, you will feel brand new!
