What’s one thing that holds a you back from achieving a goal?
Not just any goal but that one main goal. We all have one and some of us sabotage our own life by quitting. So many of my clients do this when it comes to getting healthy.
Tomorrow I will have part 2, but I need all of you to weigh in on this discussion. SO PLEASE DO SO.
I’m looking forwarding to reading your comments!
You could have chosen any blog to read but, you chose mine and, I’m honored!

I have issues on focusing and figuring out what I want to be, or can be…..some days I still haven’t found what I’m looking for, or out here on my own

I know what you mean. But why do we have too choose? I ask myself this all the time. When you have so many different interest that don’t line up with one another , we feel like we have to choose one and dump the others. But I think we should do them all.
Have fun and figure it out as we go.

Michelle youo are preaching to the choir. I remember feeling like that when I turned 30 and 40 and I’m sure 50 will be the same.
But you’re right counting our blessings and being happy about what we have accomplished is so important.

Me I have a hard time staying focused between family friends and TV also it’s not always easy to do something new or you or no one else has done between fear of what might happen or not happen or who’s going to like it promote what your doing then there is laziness
LikeLiked by 3 people
I totally agree with all of this. It’s definitely hard to find the time to balance out everything and then fear strikes.
I’ve found that if I wait for others too promote something I’m doing or back me up I’ll be waiting all my life.
Whatever you desire to do just do it and if you fail, try it again and again until you win!

Oh this is HUGE! Negativity will destroy all confidence and put you right where those naysayers want you to be. Rmoving yourself from the is the best thing you can do. Finding people that back you and support you can change your life.

I’m in my 50’s and I don’t act my age, but I’m also aware that injuries like knee joints, etc seem to take ages to come right again, so in some ways I’m very careful not to over do it.

That’s great! I’m learning to modify on some things because having surgery is not something I want to do.
Love the fact that you don’t act your age! KEEP THAT GOING!

I think the most important thing when setting goals is to have a clear vision of the outcome. Holding that published book in your hand, seeing your body strength increase, repairing a severed relationship, snagging the perfect job for you, or starting a healthy diet. I have to visualize the outcome for it to come true. Hugs, C

Cheryl that is so true!!!!!! Visualizing the things you want is a huge motivation. I use to do vision boards and not so sure why I stopped but your comment sparked a desire to do one for this year. Hope you are a having a great Holdiday season.

I always accomplish things late. I learned to read when I was in the 7th grade. I graduated from college when I was in my 40s. I started writing books when I was 56. My next goal is to see the books I’ve written published. The only thing standing in my way is myself. I need to take me out of the way.

This was a great post. I think for me and many people it is the fear of failure that keeps them from doing what they truly want to do. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and blessings to you and your loved ones. Big hugs Joni.

There was a time when I was fearful of both success and failure. Quite paralyzing. Not so today, yet those old habits do arise at times, and when they do, I remember to take the action anyway, as the action is mine, the results are not. Awesome post, Belladonna!

Gurl… I wish I knew!!! I guess it’s me not finding the time and space to prioritize me while taking care of everyone else. In the end, I guess its’ my head… “There’s not time.” “It’s too hard.” “I’m tired.” “I’m stressed.” “It won’t work.”… Sis you know me, don’t beat me too hard. XOX)

Sometimes, it’s just about winning, but doing. Here’s a quote I wrote earlier tonight; “With every step, we progress. With each breath taken, we find success. If, we choose to stand still, we will surely digress.” Whatever, I put my heart to, God makes the way, clear! Merry Christmas!
