REPOST: I posted this a few months ago and wanted to revisit it.
You might be wondering, what is the best day to work out?
Well, here is the answer that will change your life. Are you ready for it? The answer is…TODAY. If you are reading this on this glorious Monday morning, know that today is the best day to work out.
One thing that we need to stop telling ourselves is;
I’ll start fresh next week because I’ve already messed up my diet for the week.
You have to keep going and not throw your entire day or week away because of one or two slip-ups. But, unfortunately, you are causing more damage to your health by continuing with another bad meal and unhealthy snacks.
It’s absolutely pointless to say, “oh, I’ll start over tomorrow.” When a client declares that, I literally want to pull my hair out and jump out of a window. My rage and frustration can’t be contained any longer.
I always say to my clients and anyone else who says this, “So you are willing to add 5 pounds to your weight loss target just because you messed up on one meal”?
NO!
That’s a terrible idea.
Your day can be turned around, and it can still be your best day ever, and here’s how.
- Finish your day by eating a big delicious salad
- Finish drinking your water
- complete a 45-minute circuit of cardio and weights
- Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep
- Wake up tomorrow and do it over it again, minus the mess-ups
- If you do mess up, correct it quickly and keep chugging along
This day can be the best day to workout; It doesn’t matter if you are reading this post today, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Make today your day…..YOUR BEST DAY!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

You are so right. rooster and I make it a point to go to the gym 6 days a week. We take one day off so we can rest. We changed our eating habits. We are in so much better shape than we were 4 months ago. Thank you for the encouragement.

I agree, although I do fall off on the weekends. Hopefully, working out for at least 39 minutes a day 5x per week is good enough to keep me healthy for my age!

I fall off so badly on the weekends as well and I love it! I refuse to skip out on good food and a cocktail or 2 or 3! LOL We only live once

You know what? I always mess up my diet but I agree that I shouldn’t stop here. I need this dedication again and again until I develop that healthy habit out there.
It’s all about dedication if you ask me.
