Best day to WORKOUT

REPOST: I posted this a few months ago and wanted to revisit it.

You might be wondering, what is the best day to work out?

Well, here is the answer that will change your life. Are you ready for it? The answer is…TODAY. If you are reading this on this glorious Monday morning, know that today is the best day to work out.

One thing that we need to stop telling ourselves is;

I’ll start fresh next week because I’ve already messed up my diet for the week.

You have to keep going and not throw your entire day or week away because of one or two slip-ups. But, unfortunately, you are causing more damage to your health by continuing with another bad meal and unhealthy snacks.

It’s absolutely pointless to say, “oh, I’ll start over tomorrow.” When a client declares that, I literally want to pull my hair out and jump out of a window. My rage and frustration can’t be contained any longer.

I always say to my clients and anyone else who says this, “So you are willing to add 5 pounds to your weight loss target just because you messed up on one meal”?

NO!

That’s a terrible idea.

Your day can be turned around, and it can still be your best day ever, and here’s how.

  1. Finish your day by eating a big delicious salad
  2. Finish drinking your water
  3. complete a 45-minute circuit of cardio and weights
  4. Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep
  5. Wake up tomorrow and do it over it again, minus the mess-ups
  6. If you do mess up, correct it quickly and keep chugging along

This day can be the best day to workout; It doesn’t matter if you are reading this post today, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Make today your day…..YOUR BEST DAY!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. You are so right. rooster and I make it a point to go to the gym 6 days a week. We take one day off so we can rest. We changed our eating habits. We are in so much better shape than we were 4 months ago. Thank you for the encouragement.

      1. Thank you. We are really attempting to get into the best shape we can for age. The people at the gym know us by now. The ladies claim we are their best customers.

      2. That’s awesome! There’s something so special about people saying such positive things to you. They sound like the ideal people to be around and supporting you both during your journey.

  3. I agree, although I do fall off on the weekends. Hopefully, working out for at least 39 minutes a day 5x per week is good enough to keep me healthy for my age!

  4. Girl thank you for this!! As an ex trainer, I also needed to read this! I will come back to this post to remind myself this advice from time to time because I definitely fall into this every now and then. Even as a fellow fitness buff!
