Just in case you weren’t aware, glow-ups are ageless. Whether you’re 20 or 101, as long as there’s blood running through your veins and a beating heart, you, too, can experience a glow-up.

Once you unlock your glow-up potential, life will feel invigorating, and you’ll feel ready to conquer all your goals. So, without further ado, let’s delve into the steps needed to unleash your GLOW UP!

5 Steps For an Easy GLOW UP

1. Skincare Routine: Invest time in a consistent skincare routine that includes cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and using sunscreen. This can help improve your skin’s texture and overall health, giving you a natural glow.

2. Healthy Diet: Focus on eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Hydration is also key, so be sure to drink plenty of water to keep your skin and body looking fresh and vibrant.

3. Mental Well-being: Work on your mental health by practicing mindfulness, meditation, or journaling. Surround yourself with positive influences such as supportive friends, inspiring books, or uplifting music. Engage in activities that bring you joy, like painting, hiking, or cooking. A positive mindset can genuinely transform your aura and how you present yourself.

4. Fitness and Exercise: Regular physical activity not only boosts your mood and energy levels but also improves your physical appearance. Find workouts you enjoy and stay consistent; this will help you tone your body and enhance your confidence.

5. Grooming and Personal Style: Refresh your wardrobe and experiment with styles that make you feel good. This could include updating your hair, makeup, or clothing to reflect your personality better and boost your confidence. Feel free to seek inspiration from fashion trends that resonate with you!

  1. You look really good and you look healthy and happy too! There’s this vibe that you’re radiating these days that’s infectious. You’ve actually inspired me to kickstart my workout routine (again) while completely changing the type of exercise I’m doing.

My treadmill broke a while ago and walking wasn’t targeting my belly pooch at all. So I started doing targeted abdominal exercise instead to strengthen my core + aerobics like before and I love it. I haven’t written about it yet because I still have a very long way to go, but it’s a game changer for me. Also, exercise is fun for me now which makes a huge difference. I do a very underrated type of exercise that ppl assume is only for kids but it’s for adults too.

So far I’ve only lost 1.5 lbs in 3 weeks but I’ve gained muscle which weighs more than fat and much more toned than I was 3 weeks ago. I’m down half a clothing size and my current size is a lot looser on me these days. I have a ridiculously high % of body fat in my abdomen and what ppl would call “skinny fat.” I don’t think I’ll lose a lot of weight given how little muscle I have and how much muscle/tone have to gain.

Glow up is happening this year and you’re part of this reason why I’m doing something about it. That, and my sister-in-law who has completely transformed herself after joining a gym. Nobody saw it coming, so I feel pressure being the most out of shape/heaviest/skinny-fat person in that family. Everyone is very slim or fit or both.

      1. Life stuff is getting in the way. I may be pulled away from working out for 3 weeks in August, which I did not sign up for. I’m trying to find an alternative workout or equipment that I can travel with. But in the meantime, I will keep working out in my driveway like I usually do. I think the most important thing is consistency and showing up on the days we said we were going to, rather than trying to be perfect.

Thanks for your words of encouragement and motivating posts! Seeing your glow up has inspired me so much. I know I can do this. Gonna get rid of the postpartum weight once and for all. It’s been 9 years of struggling, and I’ve had enough. 💪🔥
