Positive Energy ~5 ways to achieve positivity~

Positivity is a challenging journey, but for all of us, it’s a path we navigate with grace and resilience. This resilience empowers us to face each day with a positive mindset.

Every day, we turn on the news, and what do we see? We see violence, death, confusion, and down-and-out pure misery.

And then we have to face whatever trials and tribulations we or someone we love may be going through. So, in the midst of it all, we are presented with a stark choice: be consumed by negativity or actively search for a piece of light and hold on to it. This choice is ours, and it’s a powerful tool in our journey towards positivity.

Staying positive can be a rewarding challenge. Here are five ways to cultivate a more positive mindset:

1. Practice Gratitude: Take a moment each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for. Keeping a gratitude journal can help you recognize the good things in your life, no matter how small.

2. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Engage with people who uplift and inspire you. Positive relationships can significantly influence your outlook on life. Seek out friends and communities that share your values and encourage growth.

3. Limit Negative Influences: Be mindful of the media you consume. While it’s essential to stay informed, consider reducing exposure to negative news or social media that brings you down. Instead, seek out uplifting content, such as motivational podcasts or feel-good stories.

4. Practice Mindfulness and Meditation: Taking time to meditate or be present in the moment can help reduce stress and increase your awareness. This practice can allow you to manage negative thoughts better when they arise.

5. Set Achievable Goals: Focus on setting small, attainable goals for yourself. These could be as simple as completing a task at work, maintaining a healthy routine, or learning a new skill. Celebrating these small victories can boost your confidence and motivation, helping you to keep a positive outlook.

By incorporating these strategies into your daily life, you can cultivate an environment that fosters positivity and resilience. Remember, it’s a journey, and every step forward, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction!

  2. Good advice. Now more than ever I’ve been focusing on setting realistic achievable goals because while I like to challenge myself I also feel like I could easily become overwhelmed.

      1. Oh, I’m sorry Belladonna. It sucks when you come across crap like that. I had a piece at one point talking about how crazy it is that we have all this tech, all these cool things that the web can do now, things that were not even imaginable all that long ago, and how do we use it . . . for ego battles and chest beating. And then the racist crap gets thrown in for good measure. Ugh. I ended up axing the piece because it felt like tilting at windmills. Hang in there.

      2. That sounds like its would’ve been a great read! It seems like non matter what race has to get thrown into the conversation and it’s so unnecessary. Are we doomed or can this be changed? uggghhhh!

  3. Those are five really important points, Bella! I try to follow them in my daily life. Not letting negative people in was hardest for me, as they need more love than others (my husband says that I have the Mother Teresa gene 😉 ) but one has to protect oneself. I have learned that the hard way.

I love the photo at the beginning ❤
