Mother Knows Best (Love Advice)

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’re considering love advice from your mother?

Most of us will probably say no way, but what if you had a mom who really knew her stuff and was somewhat of a love guru? Okay, I’m not a guru, but I’ve got some practical advice on “how to get a date” that are dying to be shared. These tips are not just theoretical; they’re tried and tested in the real world….. NOT

My son, bless his heart, has his eye on two different girls and is working up the nerve to ask one of them out on a date. So when he tells me this, I automatically think it’s a hint and he secretly wants my advice.

It turns out I was wrong, but let’s continue.

Storytime

After yelling and freezing our buns off at our son’s Spring football game, my husband and I head back to our hotel room while we wait for our son to shower and change for dinner. 

We laughed and had a jolly ole time at dinner and then headed back to the hotel. That’s when I gave the best tips on how to get a girl to notice you. 

How to get a girl~ PICK UP LINES

  1. Are you my wisdom teeth? Because I think I need to take you out
  2. Your feet must be tired because you’ve been running through my mind all semester
  3. Are you WIFI? Because I feel a connection

Okay, clearly, I was joking about these pickup lines. But hey, a little humor can go a long way in breaking the ice, right?

But I did tell him to be polite, show confidence, and only date one girl at a time. I also told him to make sure he treats her the way he would want a guy to treat his sisters. 

And if she turns you down when you ask her out, it’s important to respect her decision and move on. Remember, there’s no need to look desperate by circling back.

Doing so might make you appear clingy or even disrespectful of her feelings.

So if you are like my son and looking for a date, just be chill and simply ask the girl out!

  5. This made me smile and took me back to my son’s dating years. He never told me anything, but I always knew when a female presence was in his life by the big smile he walked around with.
