Look After Yourself FRIDAY

Well, well, well, here we are again!

We made it to see another Friday, and I don’t know about any of you, but I am so HAPPY. This week went quickly but seemed long at the same time. That probably doesn’t make sense, but you get it.

Last weekend, I had a good ole time celebrating my daughters and that’s how I looked after myself. Making them feel like QUEENS of the world on their birthday put me in the best mood.

But this weekend it’s all about ME, MYSELF, and I!

How Am I Looking After Myself

Today, I’m cycling for a bit, then soaking in a bubble bath with a glass of wine. And I will end the night catching up on “Only Murders In The Building”. 

But the real fun comes tomorrow!

Dress shopping is on the menu. I’m looking for something lightweight, sparkly, yet classy. Saying the word classy automatically makes the dress sound like a joke. You see, my youngest daughter and I are always saying how classy we are when, in fact, we are acting quiet country. 

But in this case, I really mean classy in the true sense of the word; I’m trying not to laugh as I explain this to y’all.

I’m retired, everyday is Friday, Friday, kicking back it’s Friday….and yes that has been stuck in my head all day….yard work because I know what’s coming…lots if fresh air…looks like a good weekend to do a lot, it’s our Thanksgiving, so making a list of all to be thankful for, and how to help those that have nothing….if life has gotten expensive for us……but yeah, donate, food banks, and lend a hand …. take a sad song and try and make it better….

  2. For me, I’m trying to cultivate more focus, so that I can prioritize and streamline whatever I want or need to do in a day. This helps in reducing my stress and sense of feeling overwhelmed.

  3. I’m trying new things for self reflection. Saturday mornings I have been getting up early and sitting at the beach and reading for an hour or so. I put up a little mini= tent and just reflect on the week life and enjoy the majestic view, thanking aged for getting me through another week🙏🏾

      1. Girlfriend, don’t you know it? I think on those days that you so eloquently talk about looking after yourself is one of the reasons why I can retain a sense of sanity! If not, I will be like that little boy from The 6th Sense, “I see dead people!” 🤣😲😂
