I swear I’m not HALLUCINATING

There I was in my front room, minding my own business and rearranging the furniture. I was singing one of my favorite little tunes by Taylor Swift; I’m not going to say which one because I don’t want to be judged.

So there I was, singing and having a good ole time. Then all of a sudden, I looked up, and there it was, staring right in my face.

I screamed for my son from the top of my lungs and stumbled back. I lost my balance and flipped over the back of my couch, but I hopped up as fast as possible. I needed to see if it was still there! Unfortunately, this HUGE big-face dog was still there.

There it was, creeping slowly towards me. I thought if I ran, then it would run too.

So I stood still, and I screamed for my son again! Finally, my daughter yells, hurry and get up right now.

My son’s big feet began to stomp quickly down the stairs. He runs into the front and has a wild, scared, and crazy look in his eyes. But by the time he showed up, the dog had run through a room that we call the opportunity room and through the kitchen, and out the back door.

I told my son what I saw, so he took off towards the kitchen and saw nothing. He closed the back door and asked me why this door was opened. I explained that Larry, our dog was outside, so I let him roam in my pergola while I finished rearranging the front room.

While trying to explain, I looked at my son’s face, and his expression said it all. However, he still chose to vocalize his concerns.

He put his hand on my shoulder and said: “Mom are you sure you saw a dog? You may be hallucinating.”

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored

    Lol. I’m like, “Did a stray big dog sneak in through the back door?” Or “Did Larry swoop in really quickly and you saw him out the corner of your eye and it made him look bigger?”

    I have so many questions. Lol.

    1. LOLOLOL I love the quesstions! Yes girl the big dog came in, saw what he needed to see and left. But he left to soon and everyone that I was joking. I have to stop being such a jokester! LOL

  12. Sounds like a moment from a film xD Your next line would be: “I know what I saw.” And then things in the house would start to mysteriously go missing… But seriously, what a frightening experience! I’m glad you’re okay.

  13. I hate it when my sons don’t believe me. Thank goodness that the dog was as shocked as you were and did you no harm! Nowadays, in mountain communities in Southern California, you could come face to face with a bear in your backyard.
