Sometimes ya need a good sandwich

Hello, Happy Summer, My Beautiful People!

If you’re like me, the kitchen is the last place you want to be when it’s nice outside. You’re hungry but want to be by the pool or relaxing in the sun too.

So what do you do?

Well, I’ll tell you. You go inside and make a hell of a sandwich with your waffle maker, and within 10 minutes, dinner is made for you and your entire family. And just that quickly, you are eating, happy, and sitting outside soaking up that vitamin D.

Ingredients

  • Bread
  • Butter
  • Cheese
  • Deli Meat (optional, of course)
  • Waffle Maker

That’s all you need!

I like to butter each piece of bread first, lay one piece on the waffle maker while I assemble my sandwich, close it up for a little over a minute, and then flip. Pushing down on top of the maker will make the sandwich have waffle marks and help the cheese to melt a little faster.

And just that quickly, you have a delicious sandwich.

Side note; I have a bigger waffle maker that can make two sandwiches at once, and that’s helpful if you have a larger family.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Yes indeed that looks great! I already had a waffle maker on my “buy asap” list so naturally it’s in my Amazon cart! Nothing better than those bits of cheese that seep out onto that heat!!!

  2. It’s like my panini maker I had in the 90s (I swear it was a 2am GVC channel purchase lol) Never thought of using my waffle maker! Brilliant!

      1. It’s too hard to maintain living in an RV, and Dave is not on board either. So I must pick and choose when I want to eat more healthy. Here lately, that means having yogurt and 1/2 a green apple for lunch instead of a sandwich, not going out as much as I make it sound like we do, and not eating between meals. When we get to my brother’s in August, it will be easier because he never has anything to eat, lol!

  3. Bless it, Bella! You got me wanting to buy another waffle iron now! Lol. I’d have to get vegan cheese and some smoked turkey, but this looks amazing!

  4. Instead of using a waffle iron i just grill them on my flat iron griddle. I can fit 2 of them at once depending on the type of bread I am using. But then again I grill all kinds of diffrent types of sandwiches too..lol
