So it’s been said that everything happens for a reason.
But how true is that?
Whenever I hear this statement, I think bullshit. Some things we go through serve little to no purpose and finding an apparent reason for this storm or minor rainfall is a struggle. And sometimes you may want to “accidentally” trip the person that says to you, “Everything happens for a reason.”
It is, without a doubt, a very optimistic way of thinking; a little annoying, yes, but optimistic. Personally, I need a few days to get to that higher level of positivity.
The other day I talked with my best friend, and we discussed the seasons we have gone through and are currently going through. We went through each season and tried to search for the reason that the season occurred. It was eye-opening; I saw that without a bad or questionable event that transpired, I might not have had the pleasure of having some of my biggest blessings.
Yesterday I posted Didn’t see that coming! It was about life throwing a ball right at your forehead when you least expect it. That within itself is a rough season. But when you’re lying there holding your head, you have to think, why is this happening to me, or what blessing am I being set up for?
I have had storms happen to me in my life, and I questioned God about every single one of them. And no, I didn’t receive a sign or an answer right away, but in time I did. What you do with that answer once you receive it is up to you.
Whatever season you are going through, know it is just that, a season. In time, you will discover the reason. And when I say that, I don’t want to sound insensitive towards anyone that has lost a child or someone you love horrifically. Because to me, there isn’t a reason for that season.
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Yeah, I’m not a fan of those “Hallmark” sayings. It tells me the person isn’t really interested in my problem and/or doesn’t care. Even though I do believe that there are reasons for things… sometimes the reason is random bad luck! 😀

Exactly!!! They aren’t engaged at all and just saying anything so it seems as though they care( Insert eye roll)!
Random bad luck is usually the case!

My mother used to always say that, and it drove me crazy. I never understood until I went through a few really tough things. Now I realize, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

Amen Crystal! It really does make you strong mentally and physically.
All the church mothers used to say this and all the young kids were fed up! LOL

I do believe that sometimes you have to look at a different side of a bad situation to land on your feet. But then again, I am an Aquarius and we rarely run with the crowd.

Oh wow my son is an Aquarius and I am definitely seeing that in him!

Ah, ha…well, he will always surprise and delight you with his unique perspective and he will never fall in with the crowd, willingly if he is a true Aquarian.

Every bad situation shaped me for the better. It didn’t feel like it when I was going through it, but when I came out on the other end, I was/am grateful for them.
And I honestly believe, everything occurs because it’s supposed to.
We’re always incredibly quick to accept the good things and will bemoan the bad things; but both are necessary in life. Unfortunately.

This is a whole word Tre!
Isn’t it funny how we grab the good and the bad we are ready to throw the whole thing away. I like you have seen the good that the bad has brought in. Thank you for this!

Sometimes I like that saying and sometimes I don’t. For example, a tough experience happened to make a person stronger. But going through something and getting absolutely nothing from it doesn’t make sense.

Right it’s the times that nothing good came from it is what makes you scratch your head!

Yep. And that has happened to me a few times.

Shit happens as they say. Now what you do with it and how you respond to it, leads to learning, transformation, and hopefully, wisdom. I love the angle you presented this rumination in Queen B! 👑🐝😊 Everything has it’s season, everything has it’s time, whether or not we agree with it or whether or not we are prepared for it. We can either rise or be buried by it. 🙏🏼
