Hug me damn it!

Listen up, men!

We, and by we, I mean women. We may not seem very approachable at certain times of the month, but we need a hug, damn it.

Life is hard, and when you are experiencing chemical imbalances that no one understands, it gets much more complicated. Sometimes we can be in the best mood, laughing and talking and enjoying the best day of our lives, then boom, we are pissed.

We are still waiting for someone to know why, including us!

All we know is we aren’t comfortable in our skin during our menstrual cycle.

  • We’re hot when everyone is cool
  • We’re cramping when everyone else is pain-free
  • We’re bloating yet can’t eat, so what the hell is causing us to bloat
  • Mood swings left and right that we can’t control
  • Everyone’s voice is getting on our last nerve

And no one wants to be around us, and we don’t want to be around us either. Misery is not even a hard enough word to describe the torture that we are going through.

Here’s a big one

We have to plan our vacations around this horrible time of the month. I mean, who the hell wants to travel with tampons or pads that have to be changed every couple of hours? And we all know that beach trips are a no-go until we are free from every sign of our menstrual cycle.

So men listen, we have drama happening, and the last thing we need is sarcasm, messy crap left out for us to clean up, and the need to repeat ourselves.

The snarl on our faces and what seems to look like red devilish eyeballs may make us seem as if we don’t want to be touched, and our cruel actions may even scare you but damn it, we need a hug.

Don’t linger; a quick one will do!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  2. Oh. I honestly, truly want to be left alone. Like, please don’t touch me. And I no longer get cramps, but the bloating & pressure in my lower back drives me up the wall.

I really am tired of the monthly menace, and I don’t need it anymore. They can come and collect it and I wouldn’t be upset one bit. Lol.

  3. In our country there are still customs of not going inside the kitchen or prayer room if a woman is menstruating. Perhaps the scientific reason will be to give her a few moments of rest. But it has degenerated into believing that on those days women are not clean enough to touch food or worship. My mother never cared about these superstitions nor do we.

  4. Women should be able to take time off of work during period week if needed. Periods can be brutal. I had horrible periods for years due to fibroids but I had fibroid embolization almost a year ago and thank God, it changed my life! No more changing tampons every 2 hours! I barely know my period is on now. I highly recommend it to women with fibroids.
