Loving you is my greatest sin

Biblically speaking, a sin is a sin; there isn’t one sin that’s greater than another!

Here on earth, the paradox of sin judgment unfolds. Our sins are scrutinized and penalized with varying degrees of severity. A theft without a weapon may lead to a lesser sentence than a theft with a gun. This paradox invites us to delve deeper into the nature of sin and its earthly judgment. 

For instance, committing a white-collar crime like embezzlement or fraud may get you less time than committing a cyber or drug crime, such as hacking or drug trafficking.

But what about love? Can it be a sin? These questions, while they may not have definitive answers, are certainly worth pondering.

Could loving you be my biggest sin? I invite you to reflect on your own experiences and beliefs about love and sin. Is there a love in your life that you question, that you wonder if it could be a sin? For instance, could a love that leads to obsession or unhealthy attachment be considered a sin?

Part 1

The knife was still lodged in her face when the police arrived. Blood was dripping from her face like an exploding volcano. She was dead, they were sure of that, but now they needed to know who did this and why.

Quite often, I hear the phrase, “It’s a small world.” I’m now starting to believe that, because how else can you explain what is about to be unfolded?

Five years ago, Karina and Scarlett became best friends. They met through their job and then again at the gym. Their friendship blossomed into something light and easy. Their kids got along well, and their husbands —well, that is, until Karina divorced him.

She divorced him for all the reasons we hear rather frequently: cheating and being mentally abusive. Yeah, by no stretch of the imagination was Karina a saint. She was beautiful and she knew it. She used her gift of beauty to get what she wanted, and when she won her prize, she dumped the man and kept the possessions.

She now has her eye on a new man, but the only problem is, he’s married.

After weighing the pros and cons of pursuing him, she decides that, because of his power, money, success, and not to mention his looks, she will pursue him.

She’s ready to put her plan into action!
