Ma’am that’s disgusting..You’re being very strange!

There I was, engrossed in a conversation with the dental hygienist, when the unexpected occurred!

Back Story

Okay, let me back up. Last year, my husband went to our dentist, and when the numbing medication was applied, something unexpected happened. They must have hit a nerve because his mouth was numb for three months. Well, just one side, but still, what the hell.

Despite my attempts to reach out to the doctor, I was met with silence. There was no callback, no concern shown. Frustrated, we decided to switch to a new dentist’s office, and the rest is history.

The New uh-oh did I do that story

So here I am going over my minor dental procedures that need to be taken care of before I get my Invisalign next month. The dentist and I are going over the cost for everything and the description of what I can expect to happen at my next appointment. 

While I was in mid-sentence, a loud voice came behind me and said, “Thank you for being so nice to me last week.”

I jumped because, yes, I scare easily, especially when someone screams right behind my head. I turned around, and there was a tall, at least 6’1 “lady who seemed to be in her early 70’s standing behind me. 

She looked so pleased about her outburst. She was smiling from ear to ear.

Unfortunately, her loud, booming voice continued speaking, and the hygienist proactively tried to stop her from talking by saying, “Oh, no problem. There’s no need to mention it. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your d…….”

The tall lady interrupted before the hygienist could say day and said, “Yeah, I was on an all-liquid diet, and silly me decided to have McD’s right before I came here, and my stomach was a mess. I couldn’t hold my poop in andddddddd”.

As I quickly turned back to look at the hygienist, my mouth dropped. The hygienist’s eyes were huge at this point because the lobby was completely full, and quite frankly, no one wanted to hear about this mishap in further detail.

So I quickly cut the tall lady off and said, “Well, I’m going to have to get going, so I’ll see you next Monday.” The hygienist forced a smile on her face and said, “Okay, I’ll see you then.”

When I walked out, I saw everyone staring in amazement at each other. I know they were hoping the tall lady wouldn’t finish her recap of unfortunate events. 

I however, was high-tailing it out of there as fast as possible. I am beyond grateful that I’ll never know how the story ended. The beginning was enough for me, although I guess I do know how it ended.

  8. BAYBAY! That’s it?! Lol. If you could hear some of the mess I have to listen to when scheduling my patients, you’d end almost every call. Lol. I get all the TMI whether I want it or not. 😂😆🤣
