and then God whispers

We all have the freedom to believe in the same God or different Gods.

Judging who one believes in or doesn’t believe in is a practice that should be avoided. However, my faith is BIG, and my love for God is strong. The strength of my passion moves me to speak about how good he is.

Even on my bad days, God is good and he’s faithful!

Tomorrow, I will go into detail about what I’m feeling, but tonight, I will sit still as he whispers to me.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I was raised Catholic and grew up with the dichotomous mindset that you shouldn’t judge anyone but that you should also judge everyone. 😅 Trying to avoid judging people is my favorite aspect of Christianity; I don’t think it’s possible to do it perfectly all day every day, but it’s a goal to strive for. I just feel happier and more at peace when I’m not worried about what other people are doing.

  2. I dread this topic. I won’t knock anyone for their faith, I kind of love the whole 7th day Adventist practice, but I question some things, but their whole life style and what they value is inspirational….but I question everything….me, I follow and believe i my head and my heart…and what faith has done, yes some great, some, well, faith should be about respect and good will, which is why that golden rule is found in every major religion … treat others as you’d want to be treated is pretty basic, and good…and it doesn’t seem to be the faith, some, like the indigenous peoples of Canada, they were treated horribly by those that claimed to be good Catholics, but weren’t, but their reverence for their faith and for the Pope is solid…..as is their respect for the crown?…I keep reading and rereading a book by Karen Armstrong called 12 steps to a compassionate life….and she compares all major religions, and finds so many common threads…am i an absoloute atheiest, nope, because, well, we don’t know…also I hate the blow back when I use that word….atheist…but, you can also believe in science and in something else….I love the practise of Ramadan…I actually told a friend I’d follow that practise this spring with her..I love that goal, of learning, understanding going without, so you learn compassion for those that need help…..and yet some that follow that faith kill women who wear a hijab wrong or not at all, refuse to let women go to school….here we had the experience some that claimed to be Christians threatening those running a soup kitchen for those that have nothing…..so, well, maybe it’s not that I don’t believe, I just like some that claim to and don’t want to be associated with that….so yeah, my heart and head, my soul…hopefully that doesn’t offend all of my fellow bloggers

    1. Warren I’m with you! If your religious views encourage you to put women in situations that aren’t equal to men then I don’t want to hear a thing about your religion. To me that’s more of brainwashing and not practicing being good to people and treating everyone like they are your equal.

  3. Sometimes you just have to steal away as they used to say, and be still. You can’t hear a doggone thing if you are running around chasing your tail. (No pun intended Larry) Looking crazy is not a good look on you, so yep sistah girlfriend, for now…chill. 🙏🏽 Let Him speak!
