One thing we will always have is a bunch of weak excuses!
I get on my nerves when I tell myself why I can’t do something that I know would be beneficial to my life. The excuses that I give myself are flat-out embarrassing when I say them out loud. However, saying it out loud saves me every time.
When I say why I can’t do something right now, I follow it up with WHY NOT?
When I ask, WHY NOT
Usually, whenever I ask myself why not, the answer boils down to self-doubt and a negative outlook.
All of my excuses SCREAM insecure. Even when you are a confident person, you still have insecurities and things you need to deal with that holds you back from believing in yourself. It doesn’t matter if your insecurities are from your childhood, family, friends, or traumatic situations that happened in your adolescent years; We have to deal with them and kill the reasons for the insecurities before they kill us.
How are we living if we aren’t truly living as our best selves?
The answer is: As long as we are making excuses, then we aren’t living. Stop that shit, and make some goals and crush them. Then and only then will you be able to cheer for yourself as well as for others.
No More Excuses
As I previously stated, depending on your life experiences, you may need to roll your sleeves up and be willing to put in the work to resolve the issues that are making you make excuses. Deal with those past experiences so you can feel good about yourself.
Once you feel good about yourself, you won’t look for excuses. Instead, you’ll work towards results. But it’s up to you: You have to choose if you want to continue making excuses or if you want results.
You can’t have both!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

This comes at such a perfect time Belladonna! I’m staring at my closet, it’s been out of control for a decade and I always find excuses not to dive in and get rid of clothes I NEVER wear! No excuses! I’ll let you know how it goes. Hugs, C

Excuses are comfortable. I try to give myself a limit and remind myself how I feel better when I stop giving excuses and finally get something done.

And you feel much better after you get things done. I’m always stunned how much better I feel about me.

Bravo, Coach B! 🙌🏻 You’ve got my mind firing in a hundred directions. All good! I told my daughter recently that it no longer serves me to say things like, “I am not good at that,” or “I don’t know how to do that.” I’ve stopped that shit, as you wrote. 😆

This is a great post! I really like how you challenge people to question their excuses and to think about why they’re really making them. It’s so important to be honest with ourselves about our motivations, and to realize that excuses are often just a way of avoiding something that we’re afraid of or that we don’t want to do.

Thank you!!! And I agree most of the time we do make excuses because we aren’t interested and for me I second guess myself. Well that used to be but the older I get the bolder I have become. Thank God!

Just the word excuses, sometimes be a pet peeve. Then I think of all the twists and turns, and just make it happen.

I look at lazy and excuses as twin siblings. I feel like these are the tools that a demon will give you for self-destroy.
But can’t I at times been guilty of laziness.
There was an interesting prompt yesterday if lazy days made you feel refreshed or unproductive
Good post overall
