Let’s Eat Healthyish! The BALANCING Act

Life is about balance!

You do a little of this and a little of that, and badda-boom, you’re happy.

Right?

Oh wait, life isn’t that simple, is it?

Well, it can be if you allow it to be. Thinking about every calorie you consume is a recipe for disaster. No one wins that game; if they do, the win will not last long.

The only recipe that lasts for a lifetime incorporates balance!

Without balance, you will get bored, and the thought of eating clean will seem like a nightmare and have you running straight toward your favorite pizza spot or whatever spot you fancy. The point is you will overindulge in your comfort food because you denied yourself for too long.

I’ve been there, done that, and I will never do it again!

If you crave something, get it and then crave that workout. The goal is to learn to enjoy the things you love in moderation and accept the fact that you shouldn’t have sweets or high-calorie comfort foods every day. Practice your balancing skills for the rest of your life.

For instance, here we have a delicious bowl of rice, cod, shaved carrots, green beans, two boiled eggs, and a little less than half an avocado. Then, below that, you’ll see warm, homemade, fresh, out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies.

What you don’t see is the 60 minutes of cardio and weight training done before this meal and the 64 ounces of water consumed throughout the day. Also missing is the oatmeal, yogurt, banana, and Caesar salad, which were also eaten throughout the day.

The balancing act is easy once you try it for 30 days

  • Eat what you love in MODERATION
  • Do the workouts you love 5-6 days for 45-60 minutes (Which includes getting out for a walk and enjoying fresh air)
  • Eat the things your body needs for fuel EVERYDAY

Worry about calorie counting a little less and focus on enjoying your beautiful life a lot more. And together lets live a healthyISH lifestyle

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

    1. The exercise part is a tough one but as you know what’s you get back to it you’re body craves those endorphins. But you’re always on tht go so maybe you think you aren’t doing much but the average person would beg to differ.

  1. Is “healthyish” a rhetorical license to claim you eat “healthy” when in fact you really don’t? Balancing on a fence is just that. One foot on each side simultaneously simply means you’re deceiving yourself while you believe you’re deceiving everyone else. imho…

    1. Nope not even close! Who cares who your “fooling” if your in fact unhealthy.
Healthyish is a term that has always been used to refer to someone that is healthy but not extreme.
Who said anything about one foot on each side of the fence? That’s far from what I stated! Did you even read my post before commenting?

    1. Warren that is incedible! What a plunge and I know I couldn’t do it but I admire others that can. All the running you do, you can eat a big cookie everyday and still be fit inside and out!
