Okay, maybe I don’t need all that, but I felt like it yesterday.

So I did something so stupid on Saturday! There I was in my backyard with Rebbeca Kennedy playing on my laptop; she’s a kick-butt instructor on Peloton. I should have known better than to choose her 45-minute full-body workout, but against better judgment, I did it anyway.
I set my laptop up outside, grabbed my weights, and was ready to go!
I held on to my 15-pound weight throughout the workout and should have lowered it to 10 pounds. Man, I wish I had done that because I was on the ground by the end of the workout. Well, that is until the ants showed up and decided to bite down all at once.
Why do they do that? They communicate with each other, and on the count of three, they bite the hell out of you!
So, of course, I jumped up. Well, as sore as my body was, my “jump up” probably made me look like a 100-year-old lady. But in my mind, I felt like a semi-broken Gladiator.
As I hobbled over to my tub, I thought, “All I need is a good soak!
WRONG!
On Sunday morning, I woke up and questioned my entire life. My ribs were in a state of shock, and the left side of my body felt like I should set it on the curb and wait for the sanitation man to pick it up.
My world shook every time I took a deep breath or, Lord forbid, sneezed. All I could do was move from my bed to the shower to the couch, and that’s where I stayed ALL DAY.
A part of me enjoyed lounging all day, minus the pain. But it got me thinking; I have to do this more often. Resting, being still, and just beeing still felt so good. In fact, it felt so good that I will be doing it again on Thursday. And I can’t wait to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

LMAO!! Girl I nneed to put my fence up quick because I know my neighbors probably thought I was crazy. And they are right. I was picking weeds, swinging weights and watering plants. LOL

yep…there’s a few spin classes I like doing at a local gym..I always seem to forget one of them involves using weights as well…..or there’s that half marathon I didn’t train for….spending today watching news for the first time in about a month….and am thinking, if I was told to leave my home now because it’s about to be burned down, how do you prepare for that…what do you take?

Ha! I’ve done that before, many times! Now that I’m 62, I don’t do it very much anymore. I try to stick to walking and swimming. Rest up and get back to it…at a reasonable pace! 😆😉

I’ve never played pickleball. I cranked my pain up a bit when my hussband was around. They seem to think we are unbreakeable.
I was showered with treats and flowers, which I hate but gladly accepted.

Weights are so good for you but geesh the pain is real after a good workout. The way we walk aafter good leg day is hilarious.

Your message about trying resonated with me because I remember there was a time (It was a while ago now) when I never thought I would be one of those people who ran on a regular basis. That seemed nuts to me, until it wasn’t.
As for a do nothing day? I love those days!
