Didn’t see that coming!

If you have said I didn’t see that coming, then you know you are alive and living a full (to say the least) LIFE!

Have you ever just stared off into space and said well, shit, I didn’t say that coming? If you haven’t, prepare yourself because it will happen.

Life has a funny with waiting until you’re looking in the opposite direction, and then life calls your name while throwing a baseball at your forehead. There’s no way for you to have time to catch the ball before it blasts you in between your eyes. Leaving you on the floor yelling, “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT.”

Once you realize what’s happening, you just lay there wondering if grief takes a holiday!

Well, the answer to that is HELL-NAW! Grief sticks around and not in any hurry to leave. So we have to put on our big girl panties and big boy undies and pick ourselves off the floor as best we can.

It’s easy to pull the cover over your eyes and hide until you feel the air is clear and assume your “what the hell” moment is over. But, nope, as soon as you remove those covers and come out of hiding, your shit fest is still waiting for you. And not only is that shit fest still there, but it’s also worse than ever.

The longer you wait to deal with the I didn’t see that coming moment, the faster it turns into a “what the hell, how the hell, when the hell, oh hell naw situation.

Life isn’t for punks; if you want to make the best of life, you have to expect things not to go as planned. I have never in my life had success without first getting hit in the head with a curveball, currently holding my head!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  4. It is helpful to remember this as it is too easy to feel that we should have seen it coming. Fact is, we just won’t always see it. And we’re not alone in that.

I only wish WordPress wouldn’t put these pesky advertisements in the middle of what Writers write. Tumbler, Tumbler, Tumbler!

Your words I love. Thanks. XoXo

  6. No matter how hard we try, we can’t dodge all the balls. Some are curvy, some are wavy, some are nasty. Some we catch, some we avoid, and some hit us, square in the… of course, the head.😉😔

  7. Oh no, not the big girl panties and big boy undies! 😂😝🤣 But girl yes, you just took me to my “Oops up side yo’ head, say oops up side yo’ head” moment. Ya gotta manage to shake it off like Taylor Swift sang, get a grip and move on until the next ball comes! 🏈⚾😲🏀⚽
