You burned me TWICE

You knew exactly what you were doing when you burned me, then you did it again and tried to do it one last time.

Now that I see you for who you are, I wonder how many people you burned before me. I have a feeling that you attempted to burn everyone that allowed you to walk through their door. You ole dirty BASTARD! 

But luckily for me, my burning has subsided, and all my walls have cooled.

Storytime

We were exhausted when we arrived home from Maui; we threw down our bags and collapsed on the floor. Maui is an 11-hour journey, and after that long haul, all you want to do is chug water, lay down, and feel your nice cool air whipping through your hair. 

We were able to do two out of those three things!

And with it being 88 degrees outside, I would rather sleep standing up than without AC. I know some folks can make do in a HOT house, but I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE.

Give me air, and give me lots of it.

After looking at our AC unit, my husband and I called this ole dirty bastard, and he told us that he could fix our air in 7-10 days (strike 1) when our part was in. I wanted to kick him in his throat when I heard that, but I held it together.

Then he said something that could cause my actions to get me thrown in jail!

He had the audacity to tell us that we owe him 231.00 for today’s services (strike 2) and will owe him $6100.00 (strike 3) once the work was completed. Okay, I lost my shit at this point, and I knew it was time for us to make phone calls to receive other estimates from companies we have previously used. 

I am so glad I keep receipts because I found the company we used in 2016. And the company’s owner did a fantastic job then and now. 

Because of him, we saved $5100.00 and a trip to jail.

  5. Oh, I feel you . We had the brakes on the car checked at the dealer when we took it in for an oil change. They said we needed over 500 dollars in work. We took it to the brake shop for a second opinion. The guy said we didn’t need anything done. We had a lot of pad left.

      1. This dealership had all of our business before they tried that. We’ve bought three cars from them.

  11. Okay, keep your cool. Some people can handle the heat, but you’re all about, keeping it cool, and you pity the fool, trying to get you to expense their overpriced tool. But, Mama ain’t having it, and she has the receipt to prove it. She ain’t no fool, just a Belladonna, knowing what it takes, to keep her cool. Nice share!
