I’ll Never Forget You

My time to vent, and I’m pissed, so I have a lot to say.

You entered into my life when I needed you, too, and you showed me who I was but, most importantly, who I wasn’t. The amount of respect and admiration that you gained from me is unmatched. I will never find a love like you again.

My heart is torn to pieces!

I feel like you teased me with your love, hooked me, and then threw me into the deepest waters with weights tied to my legs so I could drown fast. I couldn’t kick, scream, or reach out for anyone to help me.

I now know what Cinderella felt like, the fear in her every movement as the clock struck midnight.

I fell in love with you in 2023; you were good to me and good for me. I can barely put into words how sad I was to see you go, but I know that you had to. The choice wasn’t yours to make, and I get that. However, that doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye.

2023, I hate to see you go. This has been a fantastic year and is going to be challenging to outdo, but with God’s help, it’ll be doable.

I have a feeling that you were my setup for 2024; in fact, I now know you were. Everything that you did for me was left a little undone. So that 2024 can finish the job. 

Before we said goodbye to one another last night, you whispered something into my ear that will eventually give me the push I need to finish what we started.

And for that, I love you, and I will never forget you!

  12. So many people have whined and complained that 2023 was awful and are happy to see it go. I think each year has a mix of good, bad, ugly, fantastic, sad, joyful. Rejoice in the time we had together and welcome the new one 🙂
