A MURDER, 8 Pizzas, 100 Mozerella Sticks, 36 Cookies, One Five Layer Cake and One 3 Layer Cake

This weekend, I had the time of my life!

I had the pleasure of hosting my 14-year-old daughter’s Murder Mystery Birthday Party. I meal prepped the night before; I made 100 mozzarella sticks, eight pizzas, and 36 M&M cookies, and one five-layer Oreo cake with buttercream frosting and chocolate ganache. 

Right when the party was starting, I put everything in the oven, and the house smelled delicious.

There were 20 guests and only one murderer!

The night began warm and inviting; as the guests arrived, they sipped champagne (sparkling rose) and introduced themselves to one another. They all had suspicious eyes trying to figure out who burned down the Debubbles Vineyard and murdered the wealthy, sophisticated, and well-traveled Mr. Debubbles.

How the night went

We rented tables and chairs and had them set up outside, and lights were all on the table with festive tablecloths and clear balloons.

I served M&M cookies while I waited for the mozzarella sticks to cook. Once they were out, I served those with marinara sauce, and the guests nibbled on those while they asked each other questions about the murder.

Then, I served thee pizzas!

When the game was over we ate cake, and danced by the fire.

The Next Day

We celebrated my firstborn’s birthday, and I made her a strawberry heart cake with edible flowers and leaves. 

This weekend, she will host a party for her friends at college, and I will drop off goodies for her little sister. 

I’m always a little sad when their birthdays have come and gone. I look forward to their birthdays so much, and for 22 years, we have gone BIG. Yes, my husband and I are exhausted by the end of the night, but it’s a good exhaustion. 

When I see them having fun, smiling, and interacting with their friends, I know that I can do this again and again.

  11. There were 20 guests and only one murderer! Well, thank goodness for that! If you said there were 20 guests and 19 murders, then the last person standing is definitely a suspect! LMAO! 🤣😝😂 Seriously, it looks like you guys had fun Queen B. You certainly know how to throw a party sistah girlfriend! 🥳🎈🎂

    Pizza and mozzrela sticks sounds great and those cookies, omg!
