Sore Ribs NO PROBLEM

What do you do when you have sore ribs?

You bake cookies and eat as many as you wish, that’s what!

As y’all know, my workout on Saturday led me to have a pulled muscle. I swear my ribs wanted to fight me and make me suffer for the poor choices I made on Saturday. Damaged Goods

My family had my back and took care of me, but there was one thing they couldn’t do: make homemade chocolate chip cookies. Well, they could, but they would’ve tasted like Larry made them.

So yesterday, I made my way into the kitchen and went to work.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs 1 egg yolk
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 8-ounce bag of dark chocolate chip morsels

Let’s make the best cookies EVER

  1. Brown the butter on medium heat and continuously stir
  2. Remove from heat, place in a bowl, and refrigerate for 40 minutes
  3. Pour melted butter into a mixing bowl and add sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt and stir until smooth
  4. Pour in vanilla extract and one egg at a time
  5. Add your flour
  6. Finally, pour in the chocolate chips
  7. form into a ball and place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or 24 hours if time permits.

Time was an issue for me; I needed a cookie ASAP!

Preheat oven to 375 and bake for 8-11 minutes.

Happy baking, my beautiful people!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Hi Belladonna, I did powerlifting on Sunday and dance today so I’m going to need one of those cookies! I’m glad your family took care of you, too. Keep being a blogging warrior, Becca – Mummy the Fibro Warrior x

  2. There are few things in life that bring a smile to one’s face the way a chocolate chip cookie can. For that deliciously sweet interlude, all is right with the world.

  3. The cookies look great. I make sugar-free chocolate chip cookies. They don’t taste the same, but they make a nice snack on a diabetic diet.
